Check this out on Rush Limbaugh's website.

Notice the banner on top that has the constitution and lists what a real conservative supports.

They all look like RP positions to me.

He is infected with the Ron Paul meme! It is only a matter of time until he becomes one of us.

it also says "a conservative does not support peolosi-like anti-war rhetoric" ..

it also says "a conservative does not support peolosi-like anti-war rhetoric" ..

That's because Rush has Huckabee in his sights, and Huckabee's criticisms of the Bush administration sound like leftist talking points, while even Redstate acknowledged that when Ron Paul criticizes the war he does so from a conservative point of view.

Yeap I listened to this yesterday and was screaming at my radio...Rush you describing Ron to a T. I even sent him an email regarding this. Asked him to go and watch Reagan's 1964 speach specifically where it pertains to foreign policy.

Told him that the only true conservative in the race is Ron Paul.

He dances around talking about RP, its like a huge tease. You sit there cheering him on like a football team to keep going and than he fumbles it and moves onto another subject.

Hmm closet Ron Paul supporter?

I think Rush is talking himself into supporting RP

That banner is basically Ron Paul's platform, and every one of those issues would, upon investigation cause web viewers to support Ron Paul over the other candiates. Interesting...

I have always thought that Rush, at least at one point, was a sincere believer in the limited government philosophy. Heck, he converted me to it. I can even remember when he used to say "Name one Republican who got is into a war, and name one Democrat who got us out". You don't hear him say that anymore.

Whether he is a "closet Ron Paul supporter" I don't know, but I seriously doubt it. If he was, it would seem very hard to resist the chance to literally hand the election to Ron Paul which he has the power to do.

"There's not one Reagan conservative -- well, I can't say there's not one, there may be one. "

Hmmm....who was he thinking of?

Pelosi doesn't believe our wars should have to be declared by congress. Ron Paul does.

Exactly, there is no comparison between Paul and that woman. Pelosi wants us to involved all over the world and she doesn't like the Iraq war simply because it is Bush's war not because of a higher moral ground. People should be very careful thinking Paul is 'anti-war' he wants to change our entire foreign policy not simply disagree with a war for political points.

Guys and Gals

Rush is a businessman and entertainer first. It's a show. Yes...it has been important to the conservative cause, but alas it will never reach the depths of discussion as a Barry Farber would. Rush is about as good as it gets these days, but it isn't quite like when he first started and actually had dialogue with people.

Guys, he is going to support Fred Thompson. He's still brain-washed into believing the war is necessary.

Are you talking about the "A Time for Choosing" speech?

I've never been a Rush fan, but years ago I used to hear him on the radio during long drives across the South. Of all the over the top radio guys, and he helped popularize the genre, he seems like a pretty bright guy. Back in the 90's, he would have supported RP platform lock stock and barrel. He probably still does, but like most successful members of a heard, he doesn't want to take a big risk and be fringy.

He'll come around.
