Wow! I never would have expected that. Catholics who perceive criticism of the Vatican as somehow "anti Catholic" should click that link and watch those videos.
The Cause is that many Cardinals around the world think that Benedict XVI's authority was removed by God publicly, this happened during the World youth Day this year, this is called ''Defenestration''.
In this shocking video, a violent storms attacks Benedict XVI and removes his zucchetto, (hat) which is the symbol of authority.
Well I was about to praise the acions of the cardinals until I read the reason for their refusal. Really? Nothing to do with him harboring pedophiles or any of the other 100 reasons I could think of? It's because his hat got blown off due to the wind? REALLY?
Well I haven't seen any evidence that it was the hat thingy other than at the link in the OP. The facts that we have are that the pope was forced to end his speech because of what most insurance companies call an "act of God" and that subsequently he got dissed. He could have very well have been dissed for the reasons you mentioned. Or it could have been a combination of things. Maybe the bishops in the video were already mad at him, and God seemingly being angry gave them the intestinal fortitude for what they wanted to do all along.
I know the Vatican is drowning in politics. From my understanding, the crusades went against everything Jesus said, love thy neighbor, turn the other cheek, etc... I haven't read anything on God telling the Church to do anything else since Jesus ascended. If you ever read Malachi Martin's works, and others, you'll realize that the Vatican is a bloated beauracratic mess, full of competing groups with wildly different theologies (anywhere from conservative to out and out freemasonic liberal types), who constantly fight over everything.
To attack the Vatican for what it says, is something that Roman Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox have been doing for centuries. validly'.
Some "priests" are mad that the popes hat fell off, which is "the symbol of authority"?
Is this serious?
I suggest doing a little digging before accepting everything you read. Most here question the MSM which at least has the benefit of being looked at by many people and can be held accountable but no one will dig into a site called thirdsecret.org?
The Pope was NOT trying to shake anyone's hand. He was introducing the guy in front of him with the suit. A couple of the Bishops in front didn't get it and shook his hand. The others just smiled as he walked by. Technically people from the Church aren't supposed to shake his hand. This is a formal introduction gesture practiced by many members of the Church.
Of course like many conspiratorial videos people will believe what they want.
Whatever dude. You must be Egyptian because you live by denial. Everyone shook the hand of the person in front of the pope. But about half of the bishops refused to shake the pope's hand. The pope's hand was extended the whole time. Several times he moved it toward one of the bishops only for the said bishop to step back. You've jumped the shark on this one B.T.
There is no "conspiracy theory" here. You are butchering the term. Some people in the church are upset with the pope's leadership and they chose to express it publicly.
You want to slander anyone who criticizes the pope as being some sort of "anti Catholic bigot" and here you are faced with evidence that some high level Catholics are dissing the pope and you can't handle it, so you post some irrelevant video about Lebran James. Really, you can do better.
Why do you think not a single Catholic source is going with this and not a single Catholic person I know has even heard of this?
Every Catholic person I know either wasn't aware or gave the same explanation. If the Bishops actually were dissing the Pope it would be a HUGE story in the Church - it's only big on some random websites that no one has ever heard of.
Even your own article claims they were upset because his hat was knocked down by wind. Not because of his leadership. Come on.
You can criticize the Pope all you want - but calling him or the Catholic Church "evil" or saying it is at times justified to deny people poisitions just because they are Catholic is outright bigotry any way you slice it. It's not only morally wrong it's dumb in an election season when 1/3 of the country is Catholic.
Look I get it. I was raised in a Church that was anti-Catholic. Lots of fear was peddled. It wasn't until I was 18 I met actual Catholics and realized it was all bullshit. Fear mongering for fear of competition.
Maybe because the Catholics "sources" don't want to air their dirty laundry? And if you think every person of every denomination knows everything that's going on then you're just delusional. I tell you what. Why don't you show them the video and see if they have an alternative explanation? Maybe there's a custom that 1/2 of the Bishops openly diss the pope as some sort of hazing are something.
A) It ain't "my article". I don't own that blog.
B) The "hat" thing is speculation.
But anyone with half a brain can see that the half of the bishops shook the pope's hand and half did not. If there was some sort of "protocol" where the bishops were only expected to shake the hand of the first guy then half of the bishops were stupid because they shook the pope's hand anyway.
When Amadinijad calls for a one world economic system that's evil. When Gorbachev calls for a one world economic system that's evil. When Sarkozy called for a one world economic system that was evil. When the pope called for that, what he did was evil. I never called the pope himself evil or the Catholic church as a whole evil. But the Ron Paul movement is about fighting against the very one world economic system the Vatican just called for. It is not wrong to point that out.
I think you can point it out without calling the Pope or the entire Church evil. And when I say you I mean the general you. There have been a number of threads that have been VERY anti-Catholic. You can deny that all you want but it's clear.
I mean we friggin had people saying it was understandable that someone would not want Catholics to serve in government. I mean come on. Did a single person here say it was understandable that Herman Cain didn't want Muslims to serve in government. Why is it ok to say such things about Catholics then?
The whole thing is speculation based on two minutes video on YouTube by some blogs no one ever heard of.
Question. Do you think Joe Paterno was being evil if he knew about little boys being molested and didn't take appropriate action? Say if it came out that Joe Po knew and actively squashed the investigation? Would that be evil? Or can we not talk about that because it's not politically correct?

I see what was done in the above article as just as evil as anything Osama Bin Laden was accused of doing. Take that as you will.
Have I seen people here say hateful things about Muslims? Yes. More than once. I saw people defending Ayn Rand's rant about the Palestinians being "barbarians". I've seen people fearmongering about Sharia law just like Herman Cain was doing. I've seen Muslims bashed just as bad as Catholics or worse. And yes I've seen people go overboard on bashing Catholics. But calling the pope out on some very bad (and IMO evil) decisions is not wrong or anti-Catholic. It's pro liberty.
Nonsense. The video speaks for itself. You don't need to read the blog to see that some Bishops were clearly unhappy with the pope. Maybe they were angry at the pope for having squashed their attempts to get pedophile priests removed?
You wrongly see that as somehow anti Catholic. I see that as treating Catholics as individuals who are able to stand up against injustice even in the highest circles of their church. Why you see that as a bad thing is beyond me.
