I found a candidate we have to support, Nick Zoller in Florida. I'm a loyal Paul supporter, voted for him for President all 3 times. I live in Pinellas and am an active Libertarian-Republican, a friend of mine told me about a political consultant, Nick Zoller who is officially jumping in the race tomorrow... the guy actually believes in and supports the Constitution and although he's worked for moderate Republicans I looked into him on-line and he was a political advisor to Peter Schiff in CT. This guy is the real deal, I recommend checking out his site: www.zollerforcongress.com

Let's show the florida establishment we can support and make a liberty republican viable in this state. I sent him $10 online earlier and will donate more, lets all chip in $5 or $10 and give this guy a groundswell of support. Tweet, spread the website etc.

He sounds like a great candidate. Love that he opposes subsidies as well:

If you have some to spare, consider donating to his campaign and posting it in this thread: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showth...gn-Kickoff-Mini-Bomb-Thread-Nick-Zoller-FL-13

We need to get this guy out on the right foot. Remember, Rand's campaign wasn't taken too seriously until his first fundraising numbers came in. This place helped push Amash through a tough 3-way primary in 2010. Early returns are critical!

Oy vey.

Potential candidates are coming out of the woodwork, including the departing Representative's son. And do we have yet another media blackout situation here?

ST. PETERSBURG — Republican former state Rep. Larry Crow has announced his candidacy for the congressional seat being vacated by C.W. Bill Young.

"I enter this race in a time when I believe the faith in our federal government is at its lowest point in my lifetime," the Palm Harbor lawyer said. "People want consistency and leadership, not gamesmanship. "

Crow, 53, was elected to the Florida House in 1994 and served four terms. "I stand for fiscal conservatism, protecting the environment, as well as protecting those less fortunate," he said.

In his announcement, Crow said he had helped create the Statewide Public Guardianship Office to help the mentally ill, led a drive to rid playgrounds of arsenic-treated wood and received the 2002 Legislator of the Year award from the Sierra Club.

But Crow will likely have to defend his representation of high-profile clients, including gambling interests and a voyeur website for people to watch women in a Tarpon Springs home.

Other potential Republicans looking at the seat include Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos, former Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard, former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker, Pinellas County Commissioner Karen Seel, former Pinellas County Commissioner Neil Brickfield, former Young general counsel David Jolly, and Young's son, Bill Young II.

No media blackout, his announcement was covered by the times today too, posted link above.

It seems that Adam Smith at the Tampa Bay Times missed the announcement. Better let him know that there's another candidate that has announced.

Congressman Bill Young (FL-13) has sadly passed away at the age of 82. There will be a special election to fill his seat, which should help Zoller. The governor of Florida is a Republican, so he will chose a day that will have the best Republican turnout in this swing seat.

Hi Guys, I'm Tim Rodocker, VC of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Tampa Bay based out of St. Petersburg in Pinellas County. We had Nick Zoller and David Jolly speak and do a Q and A at our meeting yesterday.

Nick Zoller came off as a flat out Ron Paul guy.

David Jolly came off as nearly a Rand Paul type. I'd like to have some more conversations with him on the side to see if he really is, but he's getting a LOT of support locally from all aspects of the local GOP. He also told the local GOP king pins to stuff it, which is a good sign. Rumor has it that he wouldn't kiss the rings.

There are 2 races for CD13 now.

David Jolly is up against carpet bagger Alex Sink from out of town for the CD13 special election in March 2014.. There currently is no one else in the race.

Nick Zoller is up against a slew of people in the standard primary election for August 2014. David Jolly may well be one that he's up against.

Feel free to message me if you want to be involved locally with all the Ron/Rand guys. We've gotten pretty well organized since the primary sign waves and sign bombs.

Media coverage I've seen has made him seem like a big business Establishment type. Is that not true? Also what's up with these donations he's made to Democrats?
