Can you be pro-choice and a libertarian?

From the LP website:

1.4 Abortion

Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.

It is a good thing libertarians are more willing to defy party dogma than others.

I'm against government interference on matters which require violation of privacy to enforce. So what happens in your car and in your bedroom, is not the government's business.

Abortions don't generally happen in the bedroom. Or the car.

Liberty and life for me, not for thee.

Be gone you fucking parasite! You are just a uninvited guest who strangely and through no fault of my own just appeared in my body!

It's just a word, who gives a crap, call yourself whatever makes you happy.

where are they then?

In abortion centres. Why do you think there's such a controversy on the left about them being regulated as ambulatory centres? It's because they don't meet basic medical standards for even outpatient care.

where are they then?

Yes. The fact that you're asking this question just reinforces my belief that libertarianism has been hijacked by social conservatives.
The libertarian movement has always been pretty divided WRT abortion. It's a "big tent" sort of movement, so we wind up with lots of warring factions.

While this is true, you have to admit that the paleo strategy as well as the more recent movement in the U.S. over the last few years has introduced a lot of social conservatism to the movement and has made it so people associate libertarianism with social conservative/tea party dogma. It really irks me personally because it leads people to believe there's only this more so-con/right-wing version of libertarianism when there are plenty who hold more leftist views on social issues.
