Why don't we just stick to the nuke aspect of the conversation since the hysteria about Iran having them seems to be clouding some peoples perspective. America stands as the only nation to acquire and use such weapons of mass destruction. It has used this power to bully the rest of the world and bolster its maniacal 'one party' foreign policy of bribes and bombs. All the things that you allege Iran will do if they get a bomb is precisely what American foreign policy has been doing over the last 100 + years. The willful blindness of the American population in not recognizing this fact is testament to the best propaganda machine that has ever been built.

My point is this: deal with the evil at home before one need run all over the world trying to dispose of it at anywhere else at any cost. FDR was a willing ally with Stalin, who was the greatest mass murderer of the 20th century. In fact he made Hitler look like an upstart. His euphoric zeal to get the US into war and nuke the "Japs" is simply apologized to no end by the 'America can do no wrong' crowd.

I think the fact that the U.S. has nukes is just as bad if not worse than if Iran got them. The only reason the U.S. doesn't use them anymore is because other countries have nukes too. If they didn't have nukes you'd see the U.S. invading a lot more countries. Talk about bullying, isn't that what the U.S. does to every country without nukes and sometime to those that do have nukes. The U.S. government is completely irrational. They always assume the U.S. is correct and everyone else is wrong regardless of the situation. Talk about destabilizing the region, the whole world has pursued nuclear weapons to protect themselves from the U.S. which to date is the only country that has shown the willingness to use a nuclear weapon.

They were given the original land by international government fiat after WWII. They claimed more as war spoils after they were attacked by some Arab nations in 1948. They claimed more land in the Six Days War in 1967 (a war instigated by Egypt closing the Straits of Tiran).

Iran isn't going to wipe Israel off the map when they want control of it. There then would be no holy land that they are fighting for. Plus if Iran launched a nuclear weapon, does anyone think Iran wants themselves to be wiped off the planet? Cause they would be.

Also, Israel was not established by America. It was set up through the UN after WWII for a place for Jews. The Palenstians pursued a war against the Jews and lost, hence the Jews captured more land.

I honestly don't ever see peace over there. There has been many many wars and different owners of that land for 2000 plus years.

Well, it's a problem without a solution as long as they remain hostile to each other. There's no fair way to carve up the land anymore. Abraham gave birth to two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac's descendants became the Jewish Israelites and Ishmael's descendants because the Muslims.

Both religions have a lot of history here, and there's no way to cut the Temple Mount in half.

The problem must be solved, though. The Palestinians are growing faster than the Israelis. The Israelis have three choices:

1) Apartheid (Like in South Africa, an ethnic minority ruling over a majority. Not very sustainable.)
2) Ethnic cleansing (They sorta do this already, but it would have to be increased, and it creates a lot of outrage with the international community, rightly so.)
3) Two state solution (Can't see how they can avoid this, eventually)
