It did. But that publicity came way too late to do much good.

Replace that late publicity with phone calling and walking every GOP precinct in Nevada and Iowa in the late summer and early fall, and that would have generated results, demonstrable in polling. That would have organized voters. That would have generated a buzz. And that, in itself, would have been free publicity, except three months out, and focused in places where it really mattered.

It was great in 07, because it was new. The media loves something new. That's why they call it "news".

But it ain't news anymore. What's news is the fact that Ron Paul is poised to win Iowa. That's news, and if we want it to keep being news, we need to stay in a position where we can make it happen.

And that requires money.

And that requires money now.

Chill please. There was no problem with his request he relayed from the campaign. The donations were to be made to the official site. Ergo your hissy fit seems to be contrived. For what purpose you only now, if indeed you do know, but I would ascertain that you need to step back and reevaluate. I do not doubt you are a part of the real grassroots but we are not a monolithic sort. You should know that.

+rep. I think it only resets when they open the general fund. I don't think they are accepting general funds right now. You could have a family member or friend donate and give them a gift of matching value though

No, I assume it's because they reset the ticker and the data that was being tracked.
