Campaign needs the money NOW, not the next money bomb

Look, this will be the LAST time a 12/16 Tea Party themed moneybomb will be put forth for RON PAUL.

No one is stopping those who want to quash any attempt by the true grassroots to make this the 'mother' of all moneybombs, and i fully expect it to...but all this ''gotta give now'' for a well meaning but mis-guided push for a million is suspect in my opinion.

I disagreed with the moneybomb, but since it's all we had, I still promoted it. I didn't troll the moneybomb thread. This is not suspect, the campaign has asked for it specifically.

I am sorry, but I do not understand.. The campaign is asking for this.. We are not saying to give up on the Dec 16th moneybomb, we are simply saying that if you can give now, then please give instead of holding, because even the campaign asked us to give money now instead of holding out.

If you plan to spin it that way, then.. This is RP's last chance at becoming President and he needs the money now.

there isn't nearly as much excitement for this MB compared to the blackthisout and did we come close to 6M? Absolutely not. we are not trying to "quash" any attempt by the "true" grassroots attempt to make this the mother of all moneybombs. we are facing the truth that there is almost 0 chance it will even match the blackthisout MB. we are realizing that the media is not in the business of promoting ron paul. we are realizing we need the people to hear from ron paul himself instead of just hoping somehow we can get 10s of thousands of pledges to this next MB thats 10 days away so the media MIGHT say, wow thats a lot of money. the campaign knows this. we know this. DONATE NOW

...Who cares?! Let's do what we need to freaking win this thing. Why are some of you having such a hard time seeing that. The campaign specifically asked for half of your moneybomb money now!

Just in case you missed it in their latest email:

In fact, if you were holding off on contributing until my next Money Bomb, I hope I can count on you to give half right now.

I get email EVERYDAY from several Ron Paul sources, including from the campaign, and i just went through all my Ron Paul mail from a week ago to today. Nothing about needing money for ad buys in any of them. Where are you getting this info?

I posted the portion of the message from the email in the OP. It went out yesterday with the new ad.

I do not believe that you read the OP...

You see, I need to raise $1 MILLION to be able to run this ad during the final few weeks before voting begins in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Ahh..i see. Blind faith comes into play then. I'm just 'supposed' to trust this suspect plea from the campaign is for real?...

Suspect? Jesus dude, you've got problems. Would you like me to forward it to you?

The title of the email was "Two Peas in a Pod"

It's not a scam. It requested donations to the official site. It's real.

Also wanted to add one more thing in here. These ads have been giving Ron Paul more attention than any moneybomb, yes including the ones from last cycle. We don't need name recognition anymore. Ron Paul has it now. What we do need are targeted ads to get VOTES.

How you could question the credibility of a campaign email is beyond me.

If you are not going to trust the campaign to make the judgements about their need for cash flow, and how it will affect their strategy... who exactly are you going to trust?

I worked for the campaign last time around. In doing so, and as trained as a political scientist, I made some conclusions based on what I saw from that operation. I can tell you the number one lesson I learned was that early-money is better than late-money. That $6 mil we raised on 12/16/07 would have been better served as $3 mil, 3 months earlier. Had we been able to put pros on the ground in October in Las Vegas, we could have given Romney a much better run for his money.

The campaign has produced a dynamite ad, which is just begging to go up on the air. But that takes money.

And it takes money now.

Complain to whoever you want. You're trolling my thread and making accusations. Nobody is forcing you to post in this thread.

I'm donating 200 bucks on the 16th with or without your blessing.

I'm glad you are. It's a shame you won't donate it today to help the campaign win Iowa.
