Jeez, I have a semi-good feeling watching the coverage with us in 4th place and I come here and want to eat a bullet. We didn't even pay much attention to this state, it was nearly all grassroots efforts. I'm not 100% happy with single digits but I won't get worried unless we see the same results in Nevada.

Calm down. aooooohmmmmm aoooooohmmmm

We had limited radio exposure and standard mailers. That does not equal campaigning.

Ron paul did not step foot in Michigan since last September as best I can tell. There were no television commercials. One guy during the polls I handed a slimjim too said, oh, that's what he looks like.

Look folks, we're pulling a solid 4th place, and Michigan has a large population. If numbers hold, we may end up with 50k votes here in MI.

This IS a success.

I agree 100%. We are making tons of progress :D

IA- 11,817 votes
NH - 18,276 votes
MI - 23,159 votes with 39.2% reporting

Nice to know I'm one of an increasing number of kooks! :D

And there's still noplace to go but up. This is just fine. :) It needs to pick up, and people need to become precinct captains, but we're moving forward.

What progress? We're getting 4th or 5th in every state so far. We'll never win anything at this rate. Wake up and smell the coffee

It is frustrating when you see a 4th place finish, if National had supported the Grass Roots we probably would have broken into 3rd place.. oh well... I guess there is still NV.. but it hurts bad that it was Mitt that won... because I think he will now take NV and SC.

consider this:

McCain and Romney are going to carry every single precinct in the state it appears. As such, there are no delegates from the already reduced available delegates to be had for Ron Paul.

So We pull 4th and 60k votes, we didn't spend much money here and we exactly the same number of delegates we likely would have had before.

Hmmm, perhaps Ron Paul knows what HE'S doing?

MICHIGAN has a HUGE population. And we placed higher than IA and NH! Look Rudy still thinks hes going to win it all on Super Tuesday and the media don't doubt him for one second.

The difference between us and rudy is hes declining and we're climbing. Ron Paul has his late game ready.

we're making history no one understands how we stay together

I agree. I think we are going to be in for a good suprise in Nevada if the Deibolds don't get us ;-)

I am impressed with the amount of people voting. I didn't realize that that many people voted in MI.

4th place is good. It is better than 5th place, which is where we've been thus far. That is a good sign.

We are still beating Giuliani and Thompson. We have lots of money in the bank and the other campaigns are short on cash.

Things are looking up for the campaign. Don't dog on a #4 finish. Sooner or later money will make the difference and we'll start winning.

Thompson might drop out after this which would be a huge boost for us.

My only annoyance is that the Huckster still manages to con votes out of people. I really hope he drops out at some point.
