Calm down, we didn't even campaign!

Most importantly, MI has 30 votes while NV has 34. NV is being mostly ignored. Sounds like Dr. Paul does have a plan.

What progress? We're getting 4th or 5th in every state so far. We'll never win anything at this rate. Wake up and smell the coffee

get out of the chatroom if you are just going to be negative and S$@T all over everyone's efforts.

There is great possibility in these results. Ron Paul didn't even campaign in MI.

Not only are we beating Fred and Rudy, we have almost as many votes as Fred and Rudy COMBINED!

They did. something like 1/3 of Paul's votes are coming from Wayne and Oakland.

And THAT will come back to haunt us in the future... So, Ron Paul does well with Liberals and Muslims... so... how will the average GOP voter take that.

MICHIGAN has a HUGE population. And we placed higher than IA and NH! Look Rudy still thinks hes going to win it all on Super Tuesday and the media don't doubt him for one second.

The difference between us and rudy is hes declining and we're climbing. Ron Paul has his late game ready.

we're making history no one understands how we stay together

YES! THE REVOLUTION IS HERE!

And THAT will come back to haunt us in the future... So, Ron Paul does well with Liberals and Muslims... so... how will the average GOP voter take that.

He brings us together, which is necessary for a successful nation.

I will be pointing out to folks that Ron Paul is well respected in the ARAB-American community who really DO understand the causes of this 'war on terror'. See if that might shock a few of the warmongers into the daylight

Why did we not campaign here? seemed like we could have picked up many times the amount and picked up many more Dems....? missed opportunity....yes

Can someone who knows for sure let me know how much Paul campaigned in MI?

Someone on another forum who is a Thompson supporter (sour grapes) said that "Paul campaigned there and outspent Fred 10 to 1"

I just want to find out the truth, before I respond to her.

IA- 11,817 votes
NH - 18,276 votes
MI - 23,159 votes with 39.2% reporting

Nice to know I'm one of an increasing number of kooks! :D
Anyone know what the actual number of votes, the popular vote, for RP was in Wyoming? I know he got zero delegates, but tied 2nd in terms of PV.

All in all we did OK.

I'm bummed that its not closer to 10%.
But 4th is a move up in the finish column at least, and it's true the campaign did very little in MI.
Also a major MI mover and shaker in the RP movement was fired a few months ago as you may recall.

I am getting nervous mostly because Super Tuesday is so rapidly approaching and we don't seem to be building the kinda momentum that we must have before then..but we ARE building SOME momentum....all is not lost, quite the contrary.

Yep. I already knew the FOX spin win or lose.

Win:
"Liberals got out to vote for Libertarian Ron Paul today... his cut and run rhetoric drove them into a frenzy... blah blah blah."

Lose:
"Even a strong Liberal vote to spite the Republicans couldn't help the unelectable Ron Paul. Why is he even in this race anymore? You would have to be loony to keep voting for this candidate who can't win."

I'm sure they will be much more harsh than that though.

one day JulieAnnie will wake up and realize that 2 states care about him
New York = Where New Yorkers live
Florida = Where newyorkers retire and die.

[Is that wrong]...lol

but it hurts bad that it was Mitt that won... because I think he will now take NV and SC.

I don't think mitt has any chance at a win in SC. Huckabee maybe. Romney gave up on SC already if I'm not mistaken.

Ron Paul knows what he is doing (if anyone does)... he's a veteran at winning as the underdog.

Huckabee's support is not just crazed Christian evangelicals. He is touting the FairTax, which is a tax proposal that has A LOT of nationwide support owing to the efforts of talk radio host Neal Boortz of Atlanta and Congressman John Linder of Georgia. Huckabee is a shoe-in for Georgia IMO...not to mention that it's really conservative there. (I know, I just moved from there to TX, and it's MORE conservative than TX!!)

I don't foresee anyone dropping out anytime soon, especially as the money has been placed on winning future states (SC, FL, etc) They'll at least wait to see the return on those investments. NO ONE will drop out of the race after MI (except maybe Hunter).

All I hear from the naysayers I talk to is that Ron Paul will never move beyond 5th place. 4th will let me stick it to 'em for now. So 4th isn't so bad.

Repeat after me: Long Haul, Long Haul, Long Haul. A lot of us are new to politics and are dead-set "sure" that everyone must come around to Dr. Paul soon. Unfortunately, that's not the case unless we keep up a completely relentless but also ever-increasing efforts to get him elected.

Stop worrying, start working.

Remember these numbers after Iowa and New Hamshire?

1. Romney 103,755 30%
2. McCain 102,361 29%
3. Huckabee 66,876 19%
4. Paul 29,648 9%
5. Giuliani 24,151 7%
6. Thompson 18,712 5%

We just further solidified our position above Giuliani and Thomspon.
