This is formal announcement that the Call Iowa program begins tomorrow, Wednesday July 25. I have received the voter information, guidelines, script, and some other info.
We will meet at 6:30 pm at 7807 Baymeadows Road East. To my understanding, it is near to the intersection of 9A and Gate Parkway. We will make phone calls no later than 9:30 pm on any given night. You may arrive later, or leave later if you need to, it's up to you.
I would like to also schedule phone calls for Thursday night, July 26, same time, same place. Some of you will already be there helping with the stencils for the sign campaign, but everyone else is welcome to show up and make calls. There are plenty to be made.
For the next two weeks until the straw poll, we will meet each Wednesday and Thursday night from 6:30 - 9:30. Everyone is also welcome to take an extra list of names and numbers with them and make additional calls from home during your free time.
If possible, please let me know as soon as you can if you will be there tomorrow, Thursday night, and/or in the coming weeks; by forum post, email or telephone. Call 904-881-2258 for more information.
Also, For those of you who are not comfortable making calls. There is now a "Mail Iowa" campaign seeking volunteers and I would like to have the group participate in this effort as well. HQ will provide sample letters for this also, if necessary. Volunteers are needed to write letters to voters who could not be reached by phone. We will be addressing envelopes, stamping and mailing the letters ourselves. Anyone who could not join us on the phones, please consider participating.
Please let me know as soon as possible who is interested in joining the "Mail Iowa" team.
