We RPFers all know that the Reagan Administration was compromised from it's creation. Coolidge is who we should emulate!

http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/05/06/next-reagan-try-coolidge/

“Reagan modeled himself really after Calvin Coolidge. I mean, when it comes to economic policies and things like that. Coolidge dismantled Wilson. I mean, I’d take Ronald Reagan in a heartbeat. But in two years’ time we are not going to be sitting in the Carter years. In two years’ time we are going to need much more dramatic and the times have changed,” Glenn said.

“Beyond that, foreign policy, go back to what was on the coin. And really in domestic policy as well. On our first coin it did not say “In God we trust.” It said ‘Mind your business. That should be our motto for a while: Mind your damn business, foreign and domestic. Get out of my face; I’ll get out of yours. If it neither picks my pocket, nor breaks my leg, what difference does it make to me?”

And what qualities should a leader have on military and foreign policy? Glenn explained, “One: Don’t go unless you absolutely, positively have to go; two, if you have to go, define and declare. Because it stops all this bullcrap just lasting forever. Define and declare. Three: If you do have to go and you’ve defined and declare, when you go, fight to win. Win. And four: When you do win, because you know what winning looks like because you’ve declared and defined, come home. Period.”

10:00 mark sums it all it up. You have too many libertarian ambassadors or what I would just term as purely "pleasure seekers" solely pushing the freedom concept minus the personal responsibility. You cannot separate the two no matter how hard your try. Everyone's a libertarian, until their poor choices reflect right back into their face. Then they proceed to grovel back to the state to alleviate themselves of their own self-inflicted pains. Did you hear what that caller said? HE WOULD BE MORE RECEPTIVE TO THE ARTICULATION OF LIBERTARIAN IDEAS IF THEY WERE PRESENTED IN THEIR FULL FORM, AS OPPOSED TO EXCLUSIVELY THE GUMDROPS & CANDY CANE NONSENSE. This is what I was stressing for Ron to do in the debates instead of spouting off INCOMPLETE declaratory statements. These people are reachable if you can present it in a coherent manner. Libertarianism is a winner but you cannot dilute the message.

Sounds kind of like Cain in the debate

If Beck really believes what he is espousing in this video, I have no idea why he is not in love with Ron Paul.... It baffles me....

If Ron clarified some of his positions to Beck, I believe Beck would devote himself fully to Paul. Did you hear Beck swooning over the "self-regulating" libertarian Penn Jillette? That's what Glenn would like to hear more of. Ron obviously advocates such core precepts but he sometimes is swayed off target in these debates.

+rep, but apparently I already gave some to you, which I don't remember, so imaginary +rep.

Penn Jillette isn't just a libertarian, neither. He's an anarcho-capitalist.

Really? I always thought he was just a simple libertarian. Any info on him talking about market anarchism? I'd love to hear it, Penn is awesome.

He really liked Ron Paul in 2008-2009 when Beck was trying to get a mantle as tea party/libertarian leader.

I wouldn't stake anything on GB.
