Bundy Saga Thickens: Ryan Payne Smoked Out --- Not a Ranger!!

You have to wonder why he wrote this. Delusions of grandeur? Or perhaps he needed an "in" to the militia network in Montana.

I have no idea. And really don't care if he washed out of basic for flat feet.

The man is there and doing the job.. he certainly carries himself with a military bearing,, (from what I have seen in many videos )

I see no "bloodlust",, in fact just the opposite.

It could well be that he fabricated the "background" (to frustrate Feds).. It could also be that the background is true and those that made this video are lying.

What is true is that he is there,, and he is there still. And he has the trust of those men that are there still and the Bundys.

If he was a government asset, they would have given him a legit identity that checks out.

I don't find that to be true in any way whatsoever.
What I see is a man with very good discernment, and a large and loyal family,,and a successful business. Well respected by his community.

That is not how the Media is trying to portray him,, but they stole the taped interview and then cut one small part of it to smear him,
That interview was never given to the main stream media.

Peter, I'm sure if he had it to do over again, he wouldn't have intentionally provoked the media storm that rained down on him, and his objectives. Fox was actually having him on all the time, and supporting him until his doofus comments. Yes, doofus. NOT racist. Bad tactical move when you have significant media support. They basically dropped him and his cause like a hot potato. I'm sure he regrets it, and yes, it was poor judgment to make those rambling remarks while being recorded.

Nobody gives a sh*t whether he is a ranger or not but claiming he was makes him a liar and untrustworthy. As far as him being a FBI plant I don't think so, as they wouldn't have been stupid enough to claim ranger status knowing it can be verified and thus outed.

It is very sad that some here cannot understand this.

The 'he was there first' defense is more than sad, it is pathetic. When it comes to your IN-STINKS, to use your own words pete... I have no use for you.

Uh oh...

So, I didn't really follow the whole fight on this, but I guess it's safe to say that Stewart Rhodes was right?

Actually it was Mike V that started this shit,, because the man had the insolence to not bow to his authority and answer his questions.

And I refrain from commenting of Rhodes,,except to say that he has always been hostile to even the mention of any militia.
He has never supported the concept in any way,, and was there to promote his agenda,, not the militia.

This is total bullshit and I will not let you LIE like this and get away with it. Do you want me to start posting numerous videos proving Stewart supports the militia? How about all the food and supplies Stewart brought out to the Bundy ranch? You have a hard on for Stewart and you just cant admit you are wrong. You are losing credibility because of it.

Would I sound silly if I asked what the hell is going on? :)

I don't know what Ryan Payne's role was/is in the Bundy situation. I don't know about any 'spat' between militia and OK/Rhodes.

SOmeone care to bring me up to speed?

Ryan Payne was one of the first on the scene as the key representative for Operation Mutual Aid, a national militia campaign to aid Cliven Bundy. He then quickly became the chief security consultant and public relations rep for the Bundy family. Payne eventually slandered the Oathkeepers and others stating that they were diverting donations and supplies from reaching other segments of the camp. This was later proven to be false.

TOTALLY misleading title of the video. This video proves absolutely nothing. First of all at about 8:50 he's calls Derrick Greyson a Senator, NOT a candidate - serious slip-up. Full of ramblings, so out of sync you can't watch it. At about 10:00 there's no sound at all for about 20 seconds, and then again around 16:40. And, out of over 18 minutes of recording, approx. 30 seconds was spent "claiming" his video was stolen and excerpts used, with no description whatsoever of how it supposedly happened.

Pete, I'm actually taken aback that you consider this a credible video for anything. Unprofessional "crew", terrible video.

This was after the last time they ran.

2. Oath Keepers is now being targeted for a COINTELPRO style smear campaign by elements within the government to “make Oath Keepers look like a militia - like the Hutaree.”

We received very reliable info from a federal law enforcement officer that the political powers that be in Washington DC are not at all happy with our mission of outreaching to the current serving military and police about their oath (wow, what a surprise), so the marching orders have come down for at least one federal agency to “make Oath Keepers look like a militia – like the Hutaree.” Of course Oath Keepers is not a militia – we are not organizing an armed body of men “to take on the government” as has been alleged by corporate media talking heads.

Like the Hutaree?

The Hutaree were a group of Americans held in prison for 2 years..
They were eventually acquitted..

They were attacked by many,, when they should have been supported.

To be honest that reads "like the Hutaree", meaning that they, OKs, will be targeted by an intel op to smear them, in the manner of the Hutaree.

What is truly a shame is all the nonsense and infighting, I support this effort, and have supported OKs in the past, and will continue to do so.

The guy said he was a LRRP, Ranger, multiple combat theaters, and was discharged as an E5 (Buck SGT), and people believed him?

Completion of Ranger school is pretty much automatic E5, as it is considered a leadership school. Not to mention the TIS / TIG waivers you can get with an SOG unit. And to lie about Ranger tab shows a complete lack of knowledge regarding the Army. If someone says they were a Ranger, all you have to do is ask them which class they were. No Ranger EVER forgets what class they were. Every class photo is available on the DOD site, which is why someone lying about doing Ranger school will avoid telling you a class # at all costs.

And mainly, I never met anyone who had their tab for over a year that hadn't been pinned their E6. And it does matter to a lot of people, as that is an elite school that has a HIGH attrition rate, as well as a sense of esprit de corps that most people have no concept of.

Maybe he was a Ranger of the North?

Wow.. perhaps it is a reading comprehension problem.
I enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17, and served in F-Co, 51st Infantry
And then he says.
the 18th Airborne Corps Long Range Surveillance Company, a Ranger unit developed during Vietnam as Long Range Patrol, used for missions deep inside enemy controlled territory.
Also true.. and it was disbanded some years later,, and then it was reformed in the80s,,and again in the 90s,,(activated,,deactivated and re-designated. several times)
http://www.history.army.mil/html/forcestruc/lineages/branches/inf/0051in-cof.htm
It is not a Ranger unit,, it is an Infantry unit. (and it was deployed to those places at the times he mentions).

He later co-formed the West Mountain Rangers.. (a militia unit)

At no time in that description does he ever make the claim of being a "Ranger".

Gee,, I enlisted at 17 and was in the 1st of 21ist,, 25th infantry . and am classed as a Vietnam era vet.
The 1st of 21st 25th Infantry has some history too. (only 7 returned from Vietnam)

It does not make me one of those 7.. (I did know and train with 3 of them)

Hell,, I believe i even still have one of these pins around here someplace.

I did meet a couple Vietnam era LRRPs in Prison.

They were some pretty badly bent individuals.

I was close friends with a Delta that ran ops in Afghanistan during their war with the Soviets. "badly bent" is an apt term. But, I could never wish for a better friend and if ever SHTF I would rather none other back me up. He took his own life after being set up as the fall guy with a murder weapon by drug runners. R.I.P. :(
