It used to be $100, now it is around $50.

The number of people attending is not an accurate measure of how much we'll raise though. Usually a lot more people donate.

My girlfriend has 550 friends on FB... she has not seen one message about black this out.
She says that she will send a link to her friends if I give her a link.

How this facebook thing work, what link do I give her?

Interesting. Still if we have 6800 people signed up, say 70% end up donating. Average of $50, that's still $2.3 million. Not fucking bad for just the people who have pledged on FB. That doesn't include people who have pledged on the website, people who will donate offline or without pledging, and people who who will donate more once they see the ticker going up!

6800 x 50 = 340,000

huh? 6,000 X 50 = $300,000 not $3M.

FWIW there are always many times more donations than their are people attending the facebook event. But we factored that in our 25,000 attending number.
