Brown 53.9% / Coakley 38.5% / Undecided 7.6% - poll taken Thursday 1/14

Ridding the GOP of the Grahams, McConnells and McCains is phase #2. Patience. People have a long memory and remember how they were betrayed. It's going to be a hell of a battle because these are the fiercest political animals around.

McCain's gonna have a serious primary challenge this year it appears. I'm not sure when Graham is up.

Clinton is already there, I believe. He took a few days away from his efforts in Haiti to go to Mass. And the Reds trotted out the Ghoul.

Uncle Sugar and his Band of Socialists make their grand entrance this weekend.

look for the numbers to swing again...

If Dubya Bush and Chenney were so vehemently republican... how come Steele hasn't recruited them with the other Fascists; Newt, Rove, Kristol, Frum, Bolton, Hasteret, Gramm, Graham ... etc?

Because they already know they are Far Fascist Right Wing Neocons... and Brown would lose votes if they were there.

Gesus, I can only imagine the War rooms of these two parties figuring out on what to spring next on the voterst... oh yeah, right now it's the Ghoul and 9/11.

Massachusetts is going to be a Political 'HAPPY GILMORE' Circus this weekend. What a Pathetic political system and ignorance of voters in this country. Frigin Soap Opera

Not until 2014.

McCain is this year (2010) according to this article. If so, who is the Liberty Candidate in that race?

http://www.politicsdaily.com/2009/01/03/mccain-to-face-2010-primary-challenge/

This is an interesting thought experiment.

We know that McCain is certainly not well liked around these parts at all.

He is expecting a Primary Challenge from JD Heyworth possibly.
Heyworth's pretty well known and could beat McCain.

What does the Liberty Movement do in this case.

1) Support Heyworth, knowing that Heyworth is the best chance you've got
to take out someone you like.
2) Call Heyworth a neocon and stay home.
3) Run a Liberty candidate in the primary, do nothing, and when there's a week
before the election, get all "purist" and insist that Heyworth and McCain are both evil.
4) Run a Liberty candidate and work hard for him, but if he maybe drops out if he doesn't get the support he needs to win and throws his support to Heyworth and Heyworth wins.
(Obviously the Liberty candidate could win under this scenario as well).

For the General,
if 4) happened, do you do a general election version
of 1,2 or 3?

(An argument can be made for supporting McCain over the Dem, but I know that
ain't happnin and I wouldn't argue with that decision)

I Stop Obamacare works better, mostly because no Liberty minded person can argue in favor of throwing someone in jail for choosing not to buy health insurance.

Plus it has bipartisian appeal. I doubt the message will bring the blues out in droves to vote for Brown, but the health care plan itself is not going to inspire them to drive to the polls to save it, either.

The thing is unpopular on both sides of the aisle.

Polls indicate you are correct. Obamacare is less popular than Obama.

I was talking about Lindsey Graham.

Why don't ya'll quit whining about the middle eastern wars? Have you not noticed that things have gotten WORSE with that damn OBAMA? The war has expanded and you are still blaming BUSH? I think you are just going with the popular opinion of hating Bush..well ADD Obama to that list. If we are going to have to deal with the wars ...and even WORSE with the Democraps...we might as well vote for Republicans because AT LEAST the Republicans won't CUT OUR THROATS DOMESTICALLY. TONES (most of you don't have a lick of common sense)

It would be great if Joe Kennedy would have a chance at winning, but he doesn't. I support Brown and even my Democratic friends who voted for Obama support Brown and want him to slow down Obama's agenda.

How would a Coakley win be better for those who want less intrusion into our lives from the feds?

parocks,
you do know that Chris Simcox is the liberty candidate, and he was part of our multi-candidate moneybomb, right?
https://www.simcoxforsenate.com
I donated to him, and I like what he has to say.
As someone you might label as a "purist" ie, someone who refuses to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, I would vote my conscience.

I know that Rand is now the front runner in his race. You think he's "safe"?

If there was $1000 to be spent between now and November, where do you think it should go? Show the math, so to speak. I've contributed to Rand already, but don't leave Rand out of your calculations.

I cannot get too worked up over Brown or Coakley. The winner of this race could end up the real loser. Huh? Well the fact is the economy is in the tank and the US government is bankrupt. It is only a matter of time (sooner rather than later) before the dollar collapses and the shit hits the fan. Most of the politicians in office today will feel the wrath of the people. With that in mind, vote your conscience and let the chips fall where they may. I prefer short term pain with long term gain over the alternative.

I understand that it is ingrained in our society, but try not to tell other people how best to spend their $, would ya? Not only are you labeling people as "purists", you are trying to tell those that you have lableled "purists" how to spend their $.

Not that it is any of your business, I budget accordingly. I spend suchnsuch amt. of $ on my "investments" per month. I treat Liberty candidates as investments. I will max out on Rand by Sept. It is up to ME who else I decide deserve my investments.
Get it?

Exactly Charles Wilson. The only message that is worth getting worked up over, IMO, is Kennedy's message, which of course, is the message of LIBERTY.

This is a pretty awesome thread. I really enjoyed reading it all, cause there is some good debate going on here. I'm pretty torn between Brown and Kennedy cause both sides have good reasons.
