I have nothing to do with the book bomb site but you should always use the affiliate link of your favorite small website when buying from Amazon. It helps the site you like and it doesn't hurt the author/publisher at all. Not going through an affiliate just means more money for Amazon when you could be supporting a site you frequent (this is true even if the site has nothing to do with what you're buying - just click on a affiliate link and then buy whatever you were planning on buying)

brunner - this is obviously up to you but you may be able to quiet some people down if you published how much you've made via the links so far, and how much of that you were planning on contributing to Dr. Paul.

Oh, true. I know that (I run a site myself, nothing to do with Dr. Paul). However, you should be able to see the number of orders placed and be able to estimate. It's doubtful more than 5% will cancel their order - but if you figured it at 25% cancellation you'd be super safe.

But now I feel like I'm painting you into a corner, and to be honest, I didn't mean to. You don't have to share numbers if you don't want to. Between the site and that great youtube video supporting the book (I assume you guys did that since it promotes your site?) you've done a great job.

In all honesty any site that you goto and click to purchase from another site will receive something. So why this is malicious or wrong, I'm befuddled. Anyways Brunner I'm with you on this one.

Actually, I've never met the guy who made the youtube, that I know of, but I very much appreciate his contribution, and the contribution of everyone who has pledged. We made Dr. Paul's book #3 on Amazon AND on BarnesandNoble.com! That's pretty cool.

So.... is this book just going to get high rankings and then plummet back down? Will it regain when the books ship? I'm confused.

It's great that it's such at such a high ranking right now, but if someone is curious and clicks on it and sees it is only a preorder they probably aren't too likely to purchase.

Look under "Product Details" (or just search for "sales rank" with your browser).

And yes, his sales rank is down, but in order to stay at #3 consistently, or even rise, there needs to be massive and ongoing publicity. We will get that when the time comes. In the meantime, just spread the word about the book the best you can, and have people read the full preface at RonPaulBookBomb.com.
