It means we have the most delegates signed up to be on the county ballots to the state convention, we have to work really hard the next 30 days on getting everyone elected, but short term we have some bragging rights.
WV is 50th in fundraising for Ron Paul, no paid staff at all, and we are beating 3 campaigns that worked the establishment and had paid state and county coordinators. This is entirely grassroots.
super sweet!

what does that imply?

Great news! This has inpsired me to look into become a delegate in Kansas!
LarryWhite, I told you a couple days ago that you are one of my heroes and I want to say it again. You are awesome. Spirit of '76 too!
In my effort to emulate you, Ive started cold calling and working Oklahoma the same way you have done WV. Ive gotten 8 precinct captains so far (in Tulsa county).
If i can muster the same dedication you have shown, i know i cant fail.

*EDIT: fixed the state, i accidentally said NH instead of WV
There is a discrepancy here.
The total number of delegates in WV is 1446 but the sum of the number of delegates for each candidate is 1478: so there are 31 more delegates allocated.

This is great, but I advocate not telling this to the media. We should keep flying below the radar and hoping the other candidates don't catch on to what's happening, and thus, don't step up their efforts.

I'm still not 100% clear why this is such a big deal. Don't delegates just vote for who gets the most votes at the primaries anyway? So if Mitt Romney won with, say, 30% of the vote, won't all those Ron Paul delegates have to vote for Mitt anyway? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
I'd say we deserve a visit by Dr. Paul, don't you? Say, Tuesday, February 5th in Charleston...
These are delegates to the state convention, where a vote will be taken to determine which candidate gets to appoint 18 of our 30 delegates to the national convention.
IS this final or can the number of delegates change gor WV?
So then the other 12 delegates are decided by the primary vote?
