Wrongful arrest IS criminal. I'm in California and it happened to me. We were in court for about two years and there was a settlement.

I agree, having a weapon to protect yourself =/= violence, but cops will think twice about battering and pepper spraying everybody when they have guns to fight back with.

That is a good way to get a lot of innocent people killed. Read this book, it is only 80 or so pages in length.

Notice what Tolstoy is saying, the easiest way for us to remove ourselves from the heel of oppressive government is to simply walk away, not participate in, nor support the legitimacy of this government. This is exactly what I and others have been trying to get across to many of you for years now.

I do hope that Ron Paul wins, he is OUR LAST CHANCE before America becomes a full fledged police state. Talked with a friend who is highly placed in the U.S. government. I asked him point blank how serious is this new NDAA legislation. He told me that we are just one step away from from losing all of our liberties and that Obama is recruiting an army to use against all of us.

There is a book written several years ago by Thomas Chittum, Civil War Two (pdf available on-line) that many of you should read.

Chittum writes, "America was born in blood." He should know because he is a combat hardened Viet Nam veteran. "Social, political and economic forces are pulling America apart and driving her toward a bloody conflict that may fracture the nation into several different countries," he said. "Riots, gangs, militias, exploding crime rates, massive immigration, rising unemployment, falling wages, these fuel the fires of war." He talks about nations versus empires. "Empires consist of peoples of different religions, languages, cultures, races and nationalities," he said. "Nations are dominated by one group that makes up a majority of the population. Nations are inherently stable while empires are always unstable."

If you look around the United States, we were a stable nation before 1965 with a population mostly of European and African citizens and mostly one religion. Today, we've imported 60 million people from areas so incompatible with American culture that we recoil at the horrors of female genital mutilation from Middle Easterners, polygamy of Hmong immigrants, honor killings from Asia, forced 13 year old girls into marriages and hundreds of different languages. "If you'll notice throughout history," he writes, "multiethnic empires break up in cataclysmic violence."

The former Soviet Union and Yugoslavia are classic examples of multiethnic empires that shattered in tribal violence. America will be no different, the federal government knows this and are preparing for it. My estimate is that they will only succeed in holding together the American empire a few more years before the country begins to break up in ethnic enclaves, and no amount of standing together singing Kumbaya is going to prevent inevitable. Stop listening to conspiracy theorists, turn off your TV, and start paying attention to the signs all around you.
