Breaking News: Utah GOP Convention

Today the Utah 4 Ron Paul group attended the Utah state GOP convention. We had a room there in order to support Ron Paul. We had probably 30 volunteers through out the day. During the convention we handed out 100's of flyer's and DVD's. The Utah group wants to thank the Arizona people and Ron Paul Revolution for coming and bringing more items to pass out. With all of the support from our volunteers and also campaign manager Lew Moore speaking multiple times, WE made a difference !! Below are the Utah GOP Presidential Straw Poll results:

I guess we should expect that Romney can carry Utah. It is not everyday the Mormons get one of their own with a legit chance for POTUS.

So congrats on your hard work. I'll take second in Utah anyday.

(thought: in the end you might have more luck converting people to Ron Paul amongst the Utah democrats)

Something I forgot to point out (I was excited to get this post out)

We Took 2nd... That is Huge.... we beat both McCain and Giulaini. Also we got 5% of a SCIENTIFIC, Actual counted vote. This was not SPAM it shows real support.

Taking Romney in Utah will take some work but the group here is dedicated to doing just that.

LOL at Romney. 80.46% Mormon country

This is really encouraging. Paul beating F. Thompson, McCain and Ghouliani is very nice to see. Good work out there.

Expected that Romney would do very well there but it is awesometo see Ron Paul come in second in an actual straw vote. I would have expected McCain.

Hopefully they will wise up and see past his religion. Just because the guy happens to share the same religion as you is no reason to vote for him. Same goes for people who vote based on ethnicity.

I have a feeling that most people in Utah would be very opposed to a lot of the crap that Romney has done when he was governor of Massachusetts if they were familiar with the man.

Take Romney out as a given in Utah, we have:

Ron Paul, WTW, a point and a half ahead

Giuliani Second

McCain third

Tancredo fourth (immigration)

Simply being Mormon doesn't make someone qualified to be President. I would think that Mormon voters can be more subjective than to vote for a candidate simply because he's Mormon.... can't they? (I don't vote for a Christian candidate just because I'm Christian, etc.)

Utah lives, speaks, and breathes mormon. My friend told me she had trouble getting a job because she was not mormon. Mitt is most likely Utah's hero
