BREAKING NEWS: THAD McCOTTER MAY GET KICKED OFF THE BALLOT!

I'd like to hear from somebody that vouches that he has put in some legwork for Paul or C4L or very similar in the past. If he has put in verifiable handson work, then I'll donate and see what I can do to help.

We need to hear from FSP - Rebel, he is near this district if not in it now. He should know a background on him, and his involvement....

He seems to have many of the elements it takes to win. A good life story and education. Seems to be dedicated by how he loaned himself a pretty substantial amount. I am a little worried about how little visibility he seems to have though, evidenced by low FB likes and low contributions to his campaign so far. He seems good on the issues, although I would like to hear his views on monetary policy before supporting him. He did have a tweet from March that indicates that an honest monetary policy should be based on precious metals, so he is probably alright. I have been to that district and it seems like mostly Romney Republicans.

On his latest media section of his campaign page, he has videos by Peter Schiff and Tom Woods. It's quite clear he has an understanding of the market. Let's support him.

Regarding Taj, from Canton, which I know very well. Canton, you know has alot of engineers from India, that most likely gave to him, but by no means I consider this a threat. Hope nobody takes this the wrong way, I just have alot of knowledge of that peticular area, and I'm sure his friends and family have given generously, but to see him win this district, I would wage is very low on probability.

Republican Michigander is a good blog to read. He's not a Ron Paul person, but he's very pragmatic and even handed with his opinions, and also very analytical.

He's written this piece titled, "Don't Compound A Tactical Error" which seems dead on to me. He gives Bentvilio a 70% chance of winning. Also MI-11 FUBAR, in which he says,
"I think the Republican establishment here may need to swallow some pride and save its resources to help Bentivolio if McCotter gets KO'ed at the signature level. McCotter in 2008 got 40,000+ votes while being unopposed. In the primary. Even 20,000 write-ins is a very tough undertaking, even for a guy with the resources Trott or McCotter would have. There's a very good chance that Bentivolio will be the nominee if McCotter loses the petition battle. If that's the case, the establishment needs to ask themselves this. Do they want Speaker Pelosi back or not? Bentivolio is a strong tea party candidate and a bit of a libertarian republican. I think he'd be similar to Justin Amash in his views and voting. Instead of floating Trott, they should be grateful that someone bailed out the party if McCotter's out. We can do a lot worse than Bentivolio, like Bill Roberts. "

So you guys thinking that I'm overstating the threat that the Dem could take this seat could be right.

Thanks for posting that article, good information in there.

The author knows more about Kerry Benetivolio, stating he works with Campaign for Liberty, as Specs was asking about....

He doesn't have a lot of money, but has some networks with Republican Liberty Caucus (I met him there back in 2010), some tea party groups, and Campaign for Liberty. He's a teacher and a military veteran of Vietnam, Desert Storm, and Iraq.

The rest of that article is great too, talking about the fact that a write-in for McCotter, is damn near impposible to win. I hope everyone reads this article for more information.

Sorry to say but I don't know the guy nor have ever heard of him before, though I'm sure the more active RP contingent in 11 know of him and what he's about. He's from Milford and that's not in my stomping grounds like it once was, I hover mostly between A^2 and Det these days.

Anyways, even if the dem could carry parts of Canton and Westland, I just don't see him as a threat when you factor the GOP-rich areas of Livonia, Novi, Northville and other lower Oakland co areas. I've been trying to find a map that of this district to see, in fact, what cities are in this one yet could only find maps of the old district. All I know is some of the democratic-leaning parts of the old district were shaved off to create stronger area for Thad yet he pissed it away, which is great. I've had it in for Thad for the last five years so I'm glad to have him replaced and even better to have a guy that's big on guns and free speech to takeover.
