Saw this on Dave Brat's FB Page. Thought I'd share this with everyone. I'm proud of this.

The House voted on the annual re-authorization of the #NDAA, the legislation that funds the Defense Department. This 1648-page bill is loaded with items that have nothing to do with military funding. We don’t have enough money to fund our troops and our national security priorities, but somehow we find the money to tack non-defense, unrelated pork projects onto a “must pass” bill that funds our national defense.

With terrorists around the world setting their sights on Americans, and military leaders telling us that our armed forces are weaker than they were decades ago, this is not a time to be playing games with military funding. We say we support our troops – then we need to show it with a clean funding bill stripped of the pork and politics.

For this reason, I voted against the #NDAA.

^ now that I have yet to see. The guy is doing a lot of good things in my book. Like Massie's been saying, we need to send people with spines, and the VA-07th got this one right.
