Bloomberg News Poll- Iowa- Cain 20%, Paul 19%, Romney 18%, Gingrich 17%

Does anybody have the script text for this video:

I will be reading this text at the Riverside, CA watchdog group to about 30 mostly elderly voters. We really need to concentrate our efforts with the elderly, particularly with elderly women who show very little support for Ron. Not too sure why, but we have to change this.

Thnks

Here is one, not sure if it is accurate or not. “Madame Speaker, I have a few questions for my colleagues. What if our foreign policy of the past century is deeply flawed and has not served our national security interests? What if we wake up one day and realize that the terrorist threat is a predictable consequence of our meddling in the affairs of others and has nothing to do with us being free and prosperous? What if propping up oppressive regimes in the Middle East endangers both the United States and Israel? What if occupying countries like Iraq and Afghanistan and bombing Pakistan is directly related to the hatred directed toward us? What if some day it dawns on us that losing over 5,000 American military personnel in the Middle East since 9/11 is not a fair trade off for the loss of nearly 3,000 American citizens no matter how many Iraqi, Pakistani, or Afghan people are killed or displaced? What if we finally decide that torture even if called “enhanced interrogation technique” is self destructive and produces no useful information and that contracting it out to a third world nation is just as evil? What if it is finally realized that war and military spending is always destructive to the economy? What if all war time spending is paid for through the deceitful and evil process of inflating and borrowing? What if we finally see that war time conditions always undermine personal liberty? What if conservatives who preach small government wake up and realize that our interventionist foreign policy provides the greatest incentive to expand the government? What if conservatives understood once again that their only logical position is to reject military intervention and managing an empire throughout the world? What if the American people woke up and understood that the official reasons for going to war are almost always based on lies and promoted by war propaganda in order to serve special interests? What if we as a nation came to realize that the quest for empire eventually destroys all great nations? What if Obama has no intention of leaving Iraq? What if a military draft is being planned for, for the wars that will spread if our foreign policy is not changed? What if the American people learn the truth that our foreign policy has nothing to do with national security and that it never changes from one administration to the next? What if war and preparation for war is a racket serving the special interests? What if president Obama is completely wrong about Afghanistan and it turns out worse than Iraq and Vietnam - put together? What if Christianity actually teaches peace and not preventive wars of aggression? What if diplomacy is found to be superior to bombs and bribes in protecting America? What happens if my concerns are completely unfounded? Nothing. But what happens if my concerns are justified and ignored? Nothing good.”
~ U.S. congressman Ron Paul before the United States House of Representatives (2/12/2009)

I'm actually shocked by this poll.

RP typically gets the younger vote, but Iowa is full of mostly older people.
I think the fact that there aren't any big cities in Iowa bodes well. People that own more land tend to have great respect for property rights and have a more libertarian leaning.

This is interesting, and exciting. Like I said, Iowa or bust!

Stop worrying about statistics, and let us start talking about the world we want for ourselves.
Politicians are a representation of the people. The more we focus on the numbers and not ourselves the more we empower the system that we are apart of.
We must break the paradigm for ourselves before the paradigm in Washington DC breaks.

Dunno if this has been mentioned yet and I am excited about the news but I just thought of something.

Cain is losing support and Gingrich is gaining and they're both dangerously close to Ron Paul. It's more likely for Cain's supporters to go to Gingrich, so really it's crucial to get Cain's supporters now or else we might not do as well as we would hope.

Gingrich is going to be in big trouble in the next few weeks as his past comes back into the spotlight. He's not the trouble you might think he is.

Very exciting news. I like our chances with our supporters showing up in Iowa on January 3rd versus their supporters. If we win Iowa the "he can't win" thing instantly goes out the window!

Gingrich is going to be in big trouble in the next few weeks as his past comes back into the spotlight. He's not the trouble you might think he is.

yep newt will not last . It will be ron paul vs romney and we can win this!!! The gop status quo and obama are fearing Ron Paul:)

Wow great news!! When I woke up today and saw this headline I was like

God Fox News is so ridiculous.

Jenna Lee: New poll numbers are shaking up the Republican race for 2012, we're glad you're with us today everybody, I'm Jenna Lee.

Jon Scott: Brand new hour happening now, I'm Jon Scott. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich surges to the top of the field, joining a tightly packed group of Republican frontrunners.

Graphic: 20% Cain 19% Paul 18% Romney 17% Gingrich

Jon Scott: A Bloomberg poll now puts Gingrich in a dead heat in Iowa, joining the top tier, just seven weeks before voters there take part in the GOP caucuses.

... [more Gingrich discussion with Brit Hume, lots of graphics about Gingrich Campaign]

Jon Scott: There's also this PPP national poll, which shows him in the lead actually. 28% for Newt Gingrich, 25% for Herman Cain, 18% for Mitt Romney.

Graphic: 28% Gingrich 25% Cain 18% Romney

Jon Scott: And uh the others, Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Gary Johnson, Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, all of them well back. Again, something seems to be working for the former Speaker.

So despite his strong second, they don't even mention his name when discussing that poll. And they only mention him as a throwaway when discussing a PPP national poll, grouping him with Huntsman, Johnson, and Santorum in order to marginalize him.

FYI. Expect surge effect ... once people in IA on the fence see that RP has a chance, I expect a 3-5% add on with numbers. If it's held today boys and girls we WIN IOWA! OUR TURNOUT cannot be matched by softer candidates!

God Fox News is so ridiculous.

They are so silly. NO WAY NEWT STAYS ON TOP. WRITE THIS DOWN. NO WAY! Once the MSM turns on him it will be BRUTAL!

CBS will have a hard time justifying their decision to give the Iowa front-runner 89 seconds out of 60 minutes of debate air time....

This poll is most likely an outlier, but in states where voters can get news of Ron Paul's record (through paid advertising), it looks like he is doing at least twice as well as he is doing elsewhere (where voters rely on the media for coverage). This means we need to keep working to bring the money in....

This is the polling company for the Des Moines Register poll which was the first one to pick up that Obama was going to win over Clinton in Iowa.

God Fox News is so ridiculous.

I can't find it on the Fox site, maybe it's not on there yet. This HAS to be tubed!!!!

God MSNBC is so ridiculous.

Woman in blue: We have polls out now, there's a new Bloomberg poll that shows among Iowa caucus goers, Cain's still up there. I mean he's still in the running. So what gives?

Graphic: 20% Cain 19% Paul 18% Romney 17% Gingrich

Man with purple tie: I don't think people want to decide right now. Romney has very low negatives, so it's not like they hate Romney. That's the thing. They just want to entertain as much fantasy as they can right now. Cain next week is going to have lower poll numbers than he has now. Newt next week is probably going to have higher.

Woman in red: I can tell one of the reasons why is conservative voters don't know where to go. They don't know where to go. Mitt Romney is not a conservative. Newt Gingrich has some issues in the past, that people think he has a lot of baggage. I happen to be a fan of a lot of his policy going forward, and I think that will weigh heavily and keep him rising, but conservative voters really wanted someone who wasn't a standard politician. They wanted someone who had executive experience. Cain is a strong business man, but when it comes down to it, he's not putting the time in when it comes to foreign policy.

... [more on Cain]

Michael Steele: I think that's where the opening is right now for both Newt and Huntsman. I think that there's still an opportunity for Jon Huntsman to really put this thing into gear for himself.

... [more on Huntsman, shows his super PAC ad]

So despite his strong second, they don't even mention his name when discussing that poll, or in the segment. And they go on to discuss Jon Huntsman of all people. They don't mention Perry, but a lot of stuff they're scrolling on their Twitter graphic is about him, Cain, and Newt.
