The donation phase has started. Where are all those that pledged????

Where is the e-mail? I never got one. I assumed that was what the pledge list was all about.

I think there are a number of people unhappy with some of the changes who are holding back their pledges.

The e-mail to the pledgers has not been sent out yet. Most of them probably do not know to send in the donation.

an email is coming out tomorrow - hang on to your hats

Then folks need to chill about using provocative language like deadbeats. Not everyone is sitting on the forums checking this stuff out on a daily basis.

I would not be surprised if people that pledged are concerned with where the money is going. From what I can see it looks like they are trying to factor a salary or salaries. I don't know how many people are willing to donate money in order to pay someones salary to ride around in a blimp.

it just seemed odd that after 2 days of live donation there is hardly any money coming in...

i was not aware that e-mail did not go out yet....

what are they waiting for?...It already december

Apparently, the writing that was proposed to go on the blimp at the time the pledges were made, has totally been changed. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of people back out.

I personally don't have time to sort out the controversies. I am spending my spare time organizing delegates and starting canvasing in my home state.

I am first waiting to recieve an e-mail. Once I do I know there will be many more donating and much more likely to be success.
Secondly I will hold my donation until I see $100k in the kitty. I will let the dollars of others be my vetting process.

i pledged to donate $100, but there's no way i would ever donate to this project with the current state that it's in.

you know that Elijah and Trevor quit their jobs and will now be paying themselves a salary from our donations? Part or all of my donation at this point would be going directly into their pockets so that they can continue to make house and car payments. i don't want to say it's a scam, because i believe the people working on this are honestly trying to make this work... but this project has serious problems that are not being addressed ... and i don't expect that they'll get anywhere close to the amount needed within the next few days unless some serious changes are made.

we need the official campaign to take over this project.

i want this blimp to succeed as much as everyone else. but realistically, it's not going to happen with this current course of action. if we want a blimp, we need the official campaign to step in now, and make it happen.

Some anti-ron paul guy was saying on that neo-con website (I forget what its called) that he made like 20 pledges for $5,000 with different e-mail accounts.

If he really did...

Ya know...I had been worrying about that. The whole pledge thing was wide open to pranksters.

Nonetheless...we can still pull this off as a chip in.

i agree...HQ needs to draw upon some of our bolder ideas and take them over

You are freakin' kidding me?!!!

They need to be very careful. If they are not making that clear when they are accepting payments, they are opening themselves up to some litigation.

I think we need some proof of that, and need to know how much, and honestly, I dont think its a bad thing. this is a big project, that if administered right will be a success, and might even make more money for the promotion of the PAC's values.

It's not like people haven't donated before to things so people could quit their jobs and campaign for RP. And often people that bring little to the table. I think as long as everyone is upfront about these things it's OK.

There probably aren't that many independently wealthy supporters or other supporters who can ride around in a blimp without getting something out of it. I know I sure can't.

I don't know the full story. Maybe there is more to it.

If the HQ or anyone else did it you can bet they would probably be paying for someone to ride in it. Why not have it be someone who has raised millions of dollars and helped the campaign in many ways?

we need the official campaign to take over this project.

That would severely limit the amount of money said project could take in - meaning, none. It would have to be supported only through money donated to the campaign, which shows up on the thermometer on the website.

We are hiring our mates to become our campaign staff... if its our money, then are we the boss?
