While Paul says his critics sometimes accuse him of being a good candidate for the 19th century, his campaign appears to be aided to an unusual degree by the energy and enthusiasm of supporters skilled at using the Internet to their own advantage.

He is the only candidate whose name is emblazoned on a blimp. It was last reported over Maryland en route to New Hampshire, and has its own Web site, which in turn contains a daily tracker, flight plan, live video feed and blimp blog.

Because the effort says it is independent of the campaign, donations to keep the blimp aloft are not limited by federal election law. But the publicity it produces draws attention to Paul.

Save The Blimp!!!

The curiosity and awe that this blimp brings as it passes overhead is exactly what we want. For when the people find RP and see the truth in which he speaks they become ready to stand behind him. Plus the local media is quick to catch the story. The company may not ever make money but the attention RP gets is like a multiplier on the cost. It is way better than any TV ad and much better than any intrusive phone call. Plus the possibilities with this blimp are awesome. Today find it in yourself to get together your finances and find something for OUR Blimp.

Save the Blimp!!! I did what I could do now you do what you can!

Let it not be said that we did nothing, RP

So have we as a collective, decided to dump the blimp? I just don't understand why we aren't donating to http://www.ronpaulblimp.com/. They have had good media articles despite the problems and weather. We NEED the blimp!

Has anyone contacted any European Ron Paul groups about this? I'm pretty sure by law Europeans can't donate to the official campaign, But, they are allowed to donate toward keeping the blimp in the sky, correct? Seems like a good opportunity for European supporters to chip in.

I can't believe theres no rich ron paul supporters out there that could just plop down 100k for the blimp, since there's no limit on how much you can donate to the blimp.

If the blimp deflates, I hope all the naysayers enjoy the bad press and mockery it will generate, but I won't. We can raise 6 million in a day but not 100 thousand? Baloney!

GOTV with the Blimp

I think it would be great if we had a Get Out The Vote effort with the blimp
in New Hampshire or maybe South Carolina.

Other campaigns send out drivers in a minivan to get people to the polls.
We can send out a BLIMP!
