Just a combination of everyone's ideas. I can't take credit for most of this stuff because there were already so many good ideas out there for this moneybomb before I got involved. The name is perfect, someone put together a good graphic design before I did, I just went with it and modified it a bit.

And I was trying to think how we can simplify it and make it work, so that was the initial inspiration.

That's what makes the grassroots so cool, is that this is like a big corporation where everyone gets to share ideas and test stuff out and see what works. The official campaign does not have this kind of creative powerhouse.

Right on, now all we need is a photo-filter widget for blackthisout.com that automates the black&white image adjustments + generates a resizable blackout rectangle that can be positioned/resized. Something like http://canv.as/ (that's the new startup from "Moot", the founder of 4chan, the mother of all forums/vboards), but obviously with less options.

One way to make this event big is to turn it into a cultural phenomenon. Make it minimal. Make it art.
I've already had one person ask about it on facebook. I actually thought about adding a website but decided against it because I thought it would feel cheesy. I've got a signature on here and if it's a conversation starter elsewhere, that's even better than a website.
