For some reason, the board is acting all screwy, so here is the rest:
For those looking for a mini-update on the campaign in general, things are going well.
Just the other day we had a sign blitz across all counties in the district. Over 1,000 signs were put up in one day. At this point, BJ's main competitor in the primary didn't have a single sign out in the district. Though he has since put some up, his signs are really dinky - about 2/3 the size of ours - and not nearly as spread out around the district.
Canvassing has also been going well. More and more Republicans are getting motivated for the election. I've heard from many BJ supporters last time around who were simply unaware that he was running until we knocked on their door this year. As you know, most people who support liberty candidates are really enthusiastic, and are looking to help out any way possible. We've even had a few just in the last couple days come over from our main competitor who just threw in with him because they found out BJ was running again. From my experience, the unaffiliateds (who are about 25% of voters in NC) are also more receptive to the message. Here, unaffiliateds can vote in either primary, so the key for them is getting the Republican ballot in their hands when it comes time to pull the lever.
We also have a fundraiser coming up with Walter Jones, NC congressman from the 3rd district, in just a few days. Between this and the moneybomb, we need to make sure we have enough funds to push STRONG across the finish in the primary.
PLEASE check out the recent videos of BJ (particularly the debate -
link), and you will see why it is absolutely necessary that we get through the primary.
