Billboards, shock and anger the sheeple into awareness

Love the ideas! Billboards are a truly unique medium and there is a lot of room there for shock value. You just have to be careful about the attribution and the specific purpose. Of course, there is always value in shocking people into thinking if you're just being brutally honest. Someone suggested this for our district in NM:

SUPPORT CORRUPTION!
RE-ELECT INCUMBENTS!
DON'T GO TO:

Pretty clever song. Clean up the profanity so it is more likely to be promoted. Yeah, I know, freedom of speech... But many people aren't impressed with the f-word. Shock them with the reality of their situation, not with cuss words.

My first impressive of the phrase "My Country My Ass" was somewhat negative. I quickly understood what you were saying, but I think it could be refined a little. Maybe the first half could be a question: "My country???" with the emphasis on "My". The second half of the phrase would be an exclamation: "My Ass!!!" Just my friendly suggestions.

I'll be sending out a version with the F word masked, but the rest stays. I wrote what I felt and what I think worked. It's gotta be a slap in the face. I wasn't concerned with freedom of speech.

Full color billboards can be made for only $2 per square foot.....that's cheap!!!!

I think this is a great idea for the Liberty movement to implement across the nation.....all along freeways and byways and the billboards don't have to cost that much (sometimes free depending on the property/building owners).

This could work. If nothing else, it'll get people to think about the billboard. That could definitely work in NM-3 with the "Sante Fe politics" thing they have going on.

Billboards are SOOOO expensive for their reach.

Like most anything else, you get what you pay for. Prime spots downtown along the freeway can be $2,000 or 3,000 a month or more. But hundreds of thousands people will see it. The marketers have it figured to cost per view. Fraction of a penny to get the message out to people.

Really effective(controversial) ones can create their own publicity just by being there. Have you EVER seen one denouncing socialism as part of a political campaign? The Republicans are scared to call the Democrats socialists, because the Republicans are socialists themselves.

I really think this is a good idea, but RP grassroots seems like a forgotten place on RPF.

Really? Did you follow the 2008 election, or pretty much anything that's happened in Congress since Obama's election?

Socialism has been used A LOT in partisan politics lately.

Hey slave.
Yeah, YOU.
You have the debt. Government has the power.

Nazi = National Socialist.
Socialist is left wing politics.
Democrats are on the left.

Need I say more?

Why wouldn't a billboard campaign get more people aboard the liberty train? People are stuck in traffic all over the country. Give them something to think about while they are cursing the system. Eye catching, controversial billboards might get the revolution going. Something that is short and sweet, could be funny yet mocks the Establishment and pisses people off enough to get everyone's attention.

The right-to-lifers have billboards all over. Many are smaller and have been in the same spot for years. I believe they have contributed to the falling support for abortion. They have used a kinder gentler approach. Instead of aborted fetuses, they have nice reminders about heartbeats at 2 weeks, etc.

But fighting socialism might need a more shocking approach. The fascists are nasty, fight them with the ugly truth about what they stand for. Imagine if hundreds, or thousands of liberty billboards were all over the country. Along with the web sites for CFL, etc.

Any other billboard slogan ideas?

Look at what John Lennon did. It is one of the most successful ways to wake up people.

Maybe socialism has been used a little, but not like it should be. The most repugnant thing about socialism: it is enslavement of the people by the government. Direct theft of wages with payroll with-holding.

Why don't ANY Republicans propose repealing the Marxist income tax? Only Ron Paul does, the rest of them focus on other things.

Maybe they are uncomfortable with the idea of freeing the slaves and not being able to pay off all the national debt we owe to China.

We ARE the currency reserve now, not gold.

Your children, our slaves.
