Why wouldn't a billboard campaign get more people aboard the liberty train? People are stuck in traffic all over the country. Give them something to think about while they are cursing the system. Eye catching, controversial billboards might get the revolution going. Something that is short and sweet, could be funny yet mocks the Establishment and pisses people off enough to get everyone's attention.

The right-to-lifers have billboards all over. Many are smaller and have been in the same spot for years. I believe they have contributed to the falling support for abortion. They have used a kinder gentler approach. Instead of aborted fetuses, they have nice reminders about heartbeats at 2 weeks, etc.

But fighting socialism might need a more shocking approach. The fascists are nasty, fight them with the ugly truth about what they stand for. Imagine if hundreds, or thousands of liberty billboards were all over the country. Along with the web sites for CFL, etc.

Any other billboard slogan ideas?

Something more concrete than abstract would be more effective. Something about the failure of the 2 party system. Some slogan that captures the illusion of change from Obama and illustrates that the establishment from both parties cannot be supported any longer.

Capitalizing on the health care issue, which is a sensitive one to many, I like using a slogan along the lines of, "the government can give only what it first takes." And then show maybe a newborn with the debt clock in the background (representing of course the debt passed on to newer generations).

Debt, war, economic depression, socialism, war on drugs and our status as the number 1 prison nation.

Billboards could help. Who will pay for them?
I have a personal cause along these lines. I wrote a song, kinda a hell raisin' country rock song, and I want it to become part of the national psyche like Achey Breaky Heart. Thats a big wish for a nobody like me. Anyway, after the holidays I'm going to start pushing it. Try to get radio play so everyone hears it, especially the politicians. Think about your willingness to ask local country stations to play it. Here is the song.

This would polarize people, and like it or not, when most left wingers and independents hear someone describe their policies as socialism they tend to just automatically ignore the criticism and consider the critic to be a nut job Hannity supporter

It would best to have a slogan that somehow discredits the two-party system

Something like: The puppet on the left hand, the puppet on the right hand. Both controlled by the same interests.

Also, the number of billboards could be reduced by strategically placing them at various places around the country with a lot of local and interstate travel. The messages will get around the country quickly enough. Maybe, 50 billboards * could be used as an experiment with different messages on each. Actually, an initial experiment could probably lower the number of billboards to 10 with different messages on each. Hold a contest for the 10 most innovative, succinct, and motivational messages. The final 10 messages could then be strategically placed geographically as well as by volume of traffic.

Pretty clever song. Clean up the profanity so it is more likely to be promoted. Yeah, I know, freedom of speech... But many people aren't impressed with the f-word. Shock them with the reality of their situation, not with cuss words.

My first impressive of the phrase "My Country My Ass" was somewhat negative. I quickly understood what you were saying, but I think it could be refined a little. Maybe the first half could be a question: "My country???" with the emphasis on "My". The second half of the phrase would be an exclamation: "My Ass!!!" Just my friendly suggestions.

People who donate to freedom candidates might be willing to donate to a billboard campaign. Where does the pro-life people get money for all of their billboards? Maybe that would be a good place to start, since they have similar views as us.

I agree, we are polarized enough. The Establishment has successfully divided and conquered us. And then enslaved us with socialism.

The left wingers are lost causes, as far as I am concerned. There is no hope reforming them, and no point wasting our time trying to. Some might wake up. They are the ones who want to see people be financially dependent on government.
The independents are potential supporters.
Many Republicans are solidly in the freedom league, but with some inconsistencies.

I think socialism needs to be demonized. Mao, Hitler, Stalin, etc were the worst dictators ever. Name ONE capitalist dictator. Pinochet? Hardly a footnote in history. The left thinks he ranks up there with Hitler, but that is another topic.

I agree with you 100% about the song MN Patriot. I usually don't give a rats ass about profanity in music but if its intended to be heard on a large scale the F word needs to go.
