Bill Maher praises Ron Paul and dogs Obama in front of Wasserman-Shultz

I wish Ron Paul would go back on Bill Maher. Whether you agree or disagree with him, he always was nice to Paul, allowed him to speak, and wasn't a shithead to him.

It's sad that a flaming liberal is better to Ron Paul than many talking heads on Fox News.

Boy, how cool would it be if one of the most liberal people in Hollywood underwent a libertarian conversion?

when you share the vid, the title is Bill Maher Admits His Audience Are 'Brainwashed Liberals'.mp4 very shareable among Republican groups. :D

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to The Goat again.

Yep. We won't win this think unless we learn to think strategically and turn everything to our advantage. It doesn't matter if most of Maher's audience your typical republican voters for 2 reasons.

1) In open primary states we can attract not traditional republican voters if we reach out to them and bet beyond this shortsighted "Just go after typical republican voters" meme.

2) Clips like this show why Ron Paul is the most electable republican candidate for the general. Remember one of the reasons so many republicans are voting for Mitt Romney isn't because he's a "conservative" (he clearly isn't) but because they wrongly think that since he's so much like Barack Obama he's the one who can beat Barack Obama. Ron Paul is different from Obama in ways that liberals actually WANT a candidate to be different.

Nah, he just supports Ron on foreign policy, which is how he's been for years, and which is the focus of his positive comments in this video.

Maher still supports taxing the hell out of the rich, taxing the hell out of corporations, regulating everything (except pot, apparently), subsidizing everything, increasing welfare and hand-outs to everyone, and thinks the government should increase education spending by over 9000%. He is firmly of the mindset that "government is good" and that's not changing anytime soon.

Maher's quote about "[Ron Paul] is the one who's really in my heart on foreign affairs, not Obama" is gold for winning over the left and moderates. Maher just said what they're all in denial about - that Obama wasn't the peace candidate they thought he was.

However, I can predict exactly how the headline would be spun by Fauxnews for their neocon audience:

Ultra-liberal troop-hater Bill Maher on Ron Paul: "He's the one in my heart on foreign affairs"

Ron Paul needs to be one of those 3 guests that are on for the entire show.

Here is the thing about Bill he is an independent liberal, I disagree with him on many topics, but he is a critical thinker, he supported Obama in 2008 but was the first to vehemently criticize him when his change and hope mantra was never realized. This clip proves the point. It is tells all independent minded critically thinking Americans that an Obama VS Paul scenario would be the best for America. Even if Paul lost, Obama feet would be feeling the heat from the left like never before.

I do, I think hes hilarious. But I'm an odd individual.

HAHA. Right with you there. Love the show- even though I'm a Libertarian-Republican with strong Christian (Lutheran) beliefs.

Don't agree with him on much- but Bill is entertaining/funny and can occasionally be a useful battering ram against frauds in both parties.
