Republicans have been seeking an impossible solution since I can remember. At the federal level, the party has accomplished almost nothing that prevents abortions. A states rights approach has a much higher chance of success in preventing abortions.

Agreed, sort of. I'm not convinced that it would actually reduce abortions to have the states controlling everything. But I'm a firm believer in subsidiarity, which in this case means that abortion laws would largely reflect the values of the people who are most affected by them and that in places where the laws were pretty lax there would be much greater incentive for private charities to provide women with realistic support for child-rearing. All of which is a good thing.

As it stands there isn't a really Federal ban on murder, yet you will go to jail no matter which state you murder in. To me, the 10th Amendment compromise seems like it's as far as we will get.

I doubt it, but it could be. I've met him a few times and spoken with him and he seems like a pretty good guy, just misguided in his views. This makes me question that though.

what benefits does he get from his words?
A person who stays in a race while polling 2% is either trying to get a particular message out to the electorate or is fishing for some offer from another candidate.

I don't look at this as "Oh, Schmohnson the Schmayson plant is attacking us in an effort to destroy our insurgent campaign" but rather as, "Hey, this nobody clearly sees RAND as the frontrunner that needs to be taken down!"

Maybe I'm reading it wrong... but it definitely just seems to treat Mr. Frayson as not worth talking about because the real leader is Paul.
