Bill Johnson campaign e-mail:

The Bill Johnson for U.S. Senate Campaign continues to run a low cost and fiscally responsible campaign. Rand Paul, a doctor, and Trey Grayson, a lawyer. are engaged in a battle about who can raise and spend the most money in a primary campaign. This conflict is typical Capitol Hill politics where tax and spend is the norm. How much money is enough?

Instead of focusing on bank accounts, Johnson is concerned about Mr. Paul's position on abortion as stated at the Jessamine County 2010 Republican kickoff. While Mr. Paul claimed to be pro-life, he stated that the issue of abortion should be decided by the states. Bill Johnson believes Paul's positions are inconsistent with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, which prevents states from depriving any person of life without due process. Mr. Johnson also believes abortion is a federal issue should be outlawed.

In addition, Mr. Paul has stated he supports his father's (Ron Paul) positions. His father is supportive of the legalization of Marijuana and prostitution. Johnson is opposed to both and is a 'true' conservative on both fiscal and social issues.
2010 is an important election. Voters have never been more challenged to examine carefully each candidate and their positions on issues independent of the size of their wallets. Any other course is just letting money determine the outcome. This lesson was learned in the 2008 presidential campaigns.

Talk about jealous. How is that $2,210 from individuals treating you, Bill?

This is great news IMO. If they are attacking you, then you are somebody.

Great Bill Johnson story BTW. I got this second hand so maybe someone with first hand knowledge can correct me if I am wrong. Bill Johnson saw one of our State Fair volunteers passing out anti-FED slim jim Bernanke Bucks. Got all excited about them and started also passing them out. Not knowing they were Rand Paul material!

Why? Prohibition has been a disaster and has led to a black market. And why should a Conservative feel the need for the federal government to enforce morality?

Rand needs to destroy him on the abortion issue.

Republicans have been seeking an impossible solution since I can remember. At the federal level, the party has accomplished almost nothing that prevents abortions. A states rights approach has a much higher chance of success in preventing abortions.

That's freaking funny!

Who?

I hope Rand isn't a (hardcore) social conservative and realizes the need for personal choice and responsibility in that area, even though I have no doubts Rand himself is personally socially conservative. I also have no problem with him playing up conservativism to win, as long as he voted for liberty once he does.

Rand Paul needs to destroy the claim without mentioning Bill Johnson personally. Johnson would love that. He's the (polling) milk of this campaign: 2%.

Better still, how can we get him more publicity? Sounds the perfect useful idiot for splitting Grayson's vote. Keep up the Clinton supporter angle!

We might not be wise to paint this as a two-horse race. Yeah, we do well to contrast Rand's support amongst real people vs. Grayson's support amongst the wealthy (interesting this character goes out of his way to ignore that distinction). But splitting the Prohibition Vote will do nothing but good things for Rand.

In the future, it would be wise to title this Jill Bohnson for SEO purposes....
