Bill Johnson Exiting Race for U.S. Senate

I think he'll endorse Grayson eventually. He can time it for late in the campaign.

However, if Paul maintains a huge lead near the end, then there is no point in him endorsing Grayson since he may want to become a congressman or governor or whatever.

Why would he endorse a Bill Clinton supporter?

The SurveyUSA poll has Paul with a 15-point lead and included Johnson.

The two previous polls before that had Paul with a 20-point lead and Johnson not included.....

I find it weird that he won't endorse Grayson since he seemed to always be on his side and never said a bad thing about him.

Hopefully former Johnson supporters will find Rand Paul to a great candidate.

Great news!

I wonder what will happen at Saturday's debate, if Rand will be by himself on stage, or Treyson will actually show up.

I for one applaud him for putting his family above his own desires. He finally realized that he had no chance and was merely hurting his own family. Ultimately this changes nothing, we have to work just as hard and do just as much, because the fact of the matter is that we are in the same situation we were in yesterday.

I hope he didn't burn too much of his savings in the race. It's a lot of money.

He does have decent name recognition now at least among local republican leaders...

Great news

Bill did something today that shows he is smarter than many had thought, he showed that he knows how to pick his battles. He seems to have very good timing, and will probably gather the most friends for a future race because of how he did things this round.

I think maybe he had too much fun with those Rand Paul supporters at the Bunning rally

LOL. I think the reason Johnson isn't endorsing Grayson is that he knows good and well Grayson isn't even close to being a conservative. Maybe he actually wants to keep some kind of credibility when this is all over. Anyway it's curtains for Grayson now. (Though I think Grayson is too stubborn to admit it.)

I wish Bill Johnson the best of luck with whatever he chooses to do next.

He is a good person, and politically he is great on many domestic issues.

You're more optimistic than I am. Hopefully Rand can hold on, but May 18 can't come fast enough. This doesn't seem right on so many levels. McConnell is a seasoned veteran of Kentucky politics, he has manipulated elections for over 20 years and Grayson isn't putting up any kind of a fight.
