If Johnson is a pro-war candidate, it seems unlikely that he would compromise on that issue and endorse Rand if he believes as most people do that Rand Paul is an anti-war candidate.

Of course, he got Palin's endorsement by not stressing the issue so who knows.

You're more optimistic than I am. Hopefully Rand can hold on, but May 18 can't come fast enough. This doesn't seem right on so many levels. McConnell is a seasoned veteran of Kentucky politics, he has manipulated elections for over 20 years and Grayson isn't putting up any kind of a fight.

You're right. Grayson isn't putting up much of a fight. And this is weird. I've seen attack webpages that are better thought out then Grayson's entire campaign. But I can't control what Grayson does. I just hope he keeps doing it.

Well either they are incompetent because they didn't expect / don't know how to deal with Rand (although you would think by now they would've figured out how to), OR they are sitting on a master plan full of negativity that they will ramp up in the next few weeks designed to create enough FUD to give them the lead.


Either way one would think that Grayson would be out shaking hands and campaigning as hard as Rand is, but he's not. Its baffling.

Given some of the statements I think Johnson will run for Governor.

It'd be nice if some of his people knew what was at stake and supported Rand but some are just bitter people that can't see that this will be a blow to the establishment and the best way to get our economy on track.

Grayson is going to run himself out of money since it's dead money if he has any remaining. If he gains no ground after that, he'll drop out. He has nothing to lose at this point since he has about $1 million that needs to be spent or else he loses it.

Yeah, I completely agree, which is why, now with Grayson's fundraising likely locked up in reverse, we pump all the money we can into Rand, and let him run a burying barrage of ads, forcing Trey to shoot his load now.

(In light of the revelations regarding Mr. Grayson's staff, and Mr. Massa of NY, I think I would in retrospect have used different verbage to describe Mr. Grayson's expenditure of funds.)
