What was the wording in the last year? Something like Biden is an old forgetful guy that is not capable of standing trial. If he can't stand trial how can he pardon people?

So now, a President can ask anyone to commit crimes against humanity and promise them a preemptive pardon.

This has to be challenged in the SCOTUS. If not, the precedent set here just nullified the Constitution. The government can do anything to you that they wish without fear of repercussions.

The final nail in that coffin was the judicial fiction of presidential immunity.

I certainly never imagined that any of them, or a thousand more who deserve it, would even receive a slap on the wrist, let alone the much harsher comeuppance they so richly deserve. And now Trump has an excuse for not pursuing it. Another shocking development.

All that is needed is to prove Biden was never legally elected president and all this would be void.

At the very least, it could be argued that it is not actually Biden making these decisions. (mentally unfit)

Technically all of these folks could be tried in a state court. The democrats gave us that precedent. Just need a republican state AG with the guts to do it (crickets chirping). Matters not to me if they're serving life in a state prison or a federal penitentiary.

I agree. This may actually be a good thing, biden is almost taking pardons to its logical conclusion which exposes the flaw in it. The logical conclusion of course would be to literally pardon everyone.

By Anthony Fauci accepting the pardon is admitting he is guilty of murder. Bring back Fauci to the Senate to Face Rand Paul again. Then the truth will come out. He will either tell all or perjure himself. I can't think he is pardoned from future crimes.

Unfortunately, I think you'd need legislation to define the pardoning powers. The Court will most likely defer to the legislative branch. And what President wouldn't want as much power as he can get? Why would they ever sign a piece of legislation like this?

Presidents now have the power to instruct people to do anything that suits them regardless of any laws, and then issue blank checks on their way out the door. Another Rubicon is crossed.
