pirate bay got bought recently and I guess is going commercial so I guess one of the better sites is about to really suck.

I personally recommend if you download from these places, you use TOR (The Onion Router) at all times when connected to them. You can also set uTorrent to use TOR as a http proxy to further mask your ip from the demonoid/tpb servers. Also, on top of that, use Peerguardian 2 which will keep you from receiving/connecting/transmitting to known anti-p2p addresses that look for filesharers.

Been downloading from there for years, never had an issue using these methods.

I use all the torrent websites available on the net simultaneously.

If you use Firefox, install the add-on called "torrent finder", it searches all of them and lets you tab through the results.
