Benton: Holding his nose next two years to support Rand in 16

I knew it all along. Benton is not a political opportunist, he's a strong proponent of liberty who's trying to play his part in making Rand the next President of the United States.

Fusaro is doing Rand a favor by exposing the snake in the grass before its at the cusp of 2016, and a bad decision is made.

Thank you, Fusaro.

Seriously, you must be kidding. Fusaro is doing nothing but harming Rand's network right now and it is clearly intentional.

Jesse Benton wants to work for Rand Paul 2016?! After what happened with Ron Paul 2012?!

What did happen? Ron Paul had a successful campaign and vastly outperformed expectations. The Senate Minority Leader didn't hire Benton because he thought the Paul campaign was a failure.

Is Mitch McConnell?

At the present, he hasn't stabbed Rand in the back like Wenzel and Fusaro have, all while claiming to be liberty advocates. POS they are.

McConnell never claimed to be part of the liberty movement. Wenzel and Fusaro DID. They are the worst kind of snakes in the grass.

I guess I'm just attracted to honest and intelligent people. Too many conservative bloggers lack the intellectual capacity to write about politics (see Redstate).

Wenzel is very perceptive.

Wenzel is honest? He even lies about his name.

There is nothing honest or intelligent about him. He has an agenda and is carrying it out.

Wenzel seems to dedicate a lot of his time to undermining Rand and driving wedges between supporters. As others point out, we don't even really know who he is, do we?

I note that Benton was already holding his nose long before we realized there'd be such a potentially great candidate against McConnell... :o

Benton should have never risked saying what he did. I guess he trusted Fusaro. The funny thing is, even though he and others told us why Benton was going to work for McConnell, some people in this movement STILL called him a traitor for doing it. In the future, he should remember that there are a number of fickle people in this movement, who cannot strategize beyond a signwave and are going to stab those who have gotten off their asses to do something, regardless of what they do. So, don't try to tell them what you are doing; it will all be for naught anyway and may come back to bite you.

Color me un-surprised that Benton would be holding his nose and thus stated so back then. Big whoop. Furthermore, I find it dishonorable to snitch on a conversation with someone who likely thought that it was private. Fusaro is a bitch for that.

Based on this phone call, Benton sounds like a genuinely positive/good guy (seriously). He was happy when he answered the phone and sounded completely sincere when he asked about how Fusaro was doing and said "don't be a stranger, call me anytime".

By the way, isn't it illegal for someone to record a phone call, if the other party hasn't agreed to it?

It depends on the state... in many only one party has to know. I believe one article I read claimed it was legal in this case.

lol

JCDenton0451, you are developing a pretty strong track record of being wrong about absolutely everything; color me impressed. First you want to impose China's One Child Policy on the United States, now you endorse Bob Weasel. What a shocker!

Isn't recording conversations illegal with out prior knowledge of the other party? I guess others want to play the nsa game nowadays. I'm not a fan of benton, but I don't see this as helping the Liberty movement.

Just goes to show how right Jack Hunter was for trying to purge these people from the movement. :p

It seems pretty clear to me that Fusaro has sold his soul. I wonder what he's going to get for harming the Paul network that is presently infused in the IOWA GOP?

That seems paranoid. There are legitimate reasons to distrust Rand Paul and the people from Ron's campaign. People can become corrupted by being close to power.
