Ben Swann update on delegates

You people do realize that if a deal wasn't made then the RNC would just flat out reject our delegates and get away with it, right?
'tis why he should have run 3rd party from the start. 'tis why the "lawyers for Ron Paul" case was flawed from the start.

ron paul doesnt make deals said carrol a few months ago. neither should we.

This is what I don't understand. Ron just posted on his facebook page: "My supporters in Louisiana worked out a good compromise."

However, hours earlier Carol liked the HuffPo article on her facebook page that said Ron could still win the nomination.

I'm so confused by the mixed signals that are being given out.

And they wouldn't do that because it would ultimately make them look bad by causing a huge stink.

I guess 5 states or 0 delegates seated....any compromise that doesnt get Ron Paul 5 states is bad compromise....

Campaign can negotiate but only delegates can accept the deal?!? Delegates still can choose to fight for their places.... and if campaign crossed some delegates do they get some of their resources back for doing nothing????

And it would be their undoing. No delegates is the same as little delegates. Unless we have control of a delegation, our delegates will be muzzled. This is why our delegation in Maine is still standing.

They are not getting away with anything. Who here, after all the shenanigans the Romney camp pulled, is going to vote for Romney? If you do, then you deserve what you get.

Another update from Ben

Info on the RNC delegate situation is still trickling in. I was told today by one of the "Massachusetts 17" that 5 of them have been re-instated. I have also been told that Maine delegates said "No deal" to giving up 7 of their slots. Meanwhile, a conservative talk radio host in Maine is reporting that 42 people have been contacted by the RNC, some of them not even nominated at the convention, and told to get ready to go to Tampa.
MORE TO COME....

My understanding is that Ron doesn't do facebook. It is run by someone else.

Does that help?

No, contests had to be filed by a certain date and the CAMPAIGN filed the contests, and if they agree to a deal and withdraw the contest, that's it.

And please plus rep this guy if you agree with what Maine is doing.
