From Herman Cain...

Ben Carson announces his announcement about running for President

The pre-game show.

Dr. Ben Carson is headed to Israel. If you're a "Presidential announcement watcher" you probably know what that means. Still, Carson is not ready to pull back the curtain on his political intentions. He hasn't thrown his hat in the ring just yet.

However, since we live in a political world where not making an announcement can make just as much news as an announcement, he has decided to make an announcement about his forthcoming announcement.

Confused? Don't worry about it. Carson appeared Friday on Newsmax TV's "America's Forum" and he promises to let you know what he's going to do by May 1st of 2015.

Frankly, I believe Dr. Carson is a good man, with good intentions. That said, I'm not convinced that he has the experience or the "teeth" necessary to give his campaign real traction. Add to that a few shaky comments about individual rights, and you've got a recipe for chaos. ...But hey, the more the merrier. It will be interesting to see what he's got.

Then again, he hasn't announced anything. ...He's just going to Israel.

Well, no doubts now. But he really should be running for a lesser office for his first time out.

I think it's probably a good idea for Presidential contenders to visit key allies-not just Israel-and become friendly with the leaders so that there is some relationship in place when they take office.

Yes, this is important. I remember when Mitt went to Poland to establish a relationship with their leaders and of course, the people:

At this point, I've just come to accept that for whatever reason, a 'serious' GOP presidential candidacy entails a trip to Israel, and try not to hold it against politicians I like, but for the life of me will never understand the love affair. These politicians pander more to a foreign country than they do small U.S. states with late primary dates, and which are considered 'safe' in November.

Israelis need to get some blackmail dirt on Carson in case he wins. Get him in some outrageous orgie pics or with young boys and he'll do whatever they ask like 40% of the current congress currently does.

LOL. No chance of that. He's seriously as straight laced as they come. That said, everybody knows he isn't going to win right?

Carson is a goofball who's not going to win. Even so, that doesn't mean he can't be irritating. Everyone knew Huntsman wasn't going to win the nomination in 2012, but he was still an annoying douche who probably had some responsibility for that YouTube smear.

I don't see Carson smearing Rand Paul.

Is he like mini Herman Cain or his political philosophy is different from neocon puppets like Cain?
What are chances of him getting a GOP nomination?
