Ben Bernanke on Ron Paul Hot Seat! Watch live Today (video added)

I posted this thread this morning REALLY looking forward to watching, then got caught up in a conference call and missed the bus. Ughh. :(

Bernanke looks bored and smug.
That's why I feel this is wasted time ... Bernanke is as steadfast as Paul, and Paul can bring light to the situation, but seems to lack the ability to create effective change.
If he could, he would have already done so.

Being introduced as a "thorn in the side" is a prime example of this ... He is treated as a nuisance.
A thorn can be removed, and it causes litle damage.

A spear on the other hand, can kill.

AWESOME!... Congressman Ron Paul is holding a silver coin and speaking about how it bought 4 gallons of gas in 2006 vs 11 gallons now. Now he's talking about competing currencies.

"Good to see you again" Ben says. LOL...

lol. Love It!!!! This is what originally turned me onto to Paul back in early '07- watching videos of him so boldly call it out like it is to Greenspan and Bernake. It's awesome and I don't think there will ever be another like him with the kahuna's to do it.

Ugh, Watt just referred to Newt as President Gingrich. I take his props back.

Watt is a Bank of America tool who tried to replace Ron's strict audit of the Fed last year with a watered down version (pretty much the same one Sanders sold out on and let be swiped for the Senate version language). By melting the switchboard we were able to end run it, but Watt is no one to extend props to, I assure you.

They moved some of the functions from his subcommittee when they gave it to him. (like direct subpoena without the chair agreeing) I am sure it didn't turn out as useful a tool as he had hoped, or he wouldn't be leaving Congress at the end of his term, regardless of what happens in the presidential race. I will still miss it, though.

He would be in Lake Jackson by choice ... Yes ?

Ron is a sitting congressman. Occasionally he DOES need to attend to duties, and he does have an OFFICE in Texas. I'd love him to be everywhere, but we knew he had a job when we sat up and begged for him to run, practically.

i hate the FED. If one could trace the many ills of society the road would end at the greedy banksters. Fiat money is becoming more of a joke by day and 99% of the people don't have a clue

think of it; the US government says "we need money" Ben breaks out the helicopter, drops a load on their doorsteps and then takes that IOU and loans it to some of his crook friends. They all eat fat, laugh and find a way to steal more from the citizens

WOW...Mel Watt (D-NC) just endorsed Ron Paul!....

>yawn<
Yeah...that guy is a POS. He was lobbied to introduce counter-legislation to H.R. 1207 Audit THE FED in the 11th hour. Congressman Mel Watt is garbage to Liberty, Transparency, Freedom, and America. Just a sellout self-enriching lawyer with dumb constituents.

For the record... some closeup pics. The CSPAN camera crew were focused on Ron's coin before he even spoke. Now that's awesome CSPAN!
