A lot to do about nothing, only Perry sent someone and a couple of Cain supporters spoke. It was really informal and I was over dressed. It was basically a round table discussion. Two other Ron Paul supporters heard about the event and showed up.
Other than that no other campaign had a presence.
One Cain supporter, who was wearing a Ron Paul button by the end of the meeting, admitted "Cain was the flavor of the month"
Perry campaign staffer said he was only there because Perry paid him and that he applied to the Ron Paul campaign but never got a call back.
Other campaigns said they were coming but never showed.
Other than that no other campaign had a presence.

Awesome about the Cain supporter.
Why is it that when supporters apply to work with Ron's campaign and are turned down, they go to different campaigns? I wouldn't speak for Perry if I was paid $10,000 and all the experience in the world.

I would, and I'd make him look like even more of an idiot than he does himself. Then I'd take what I could from the 10k, donate to Paul, buy a ticket to Book Of Mormon, and begin to pay off my student loans.

Apparently the American people have an appetite for stupid. Do they have an appetite for no-shows? We'll find out when Perry stops showing up to debates (if he follows through)

My dad told me about this announcement but I've yet to find it anywhere. I'd imagine as much as him actually debating hurts him, his lack of a presence during the debates may do more harm. The best I could see coming out of this decision would be for his poll numbers (10.5% median, lol), to remain stagnant instead of sliding some more.

Im on the western part of the state. There are lots of micro climates where I live, some towns got almost a foot, my town and Lebanon received a few inches.

The campaign made it sound like it was bigger than it ended up, there were a ton of no shows. It was more of a casual sit down.
It went well. I got a Cain supporter to think harder about auditing the fed and our foreign policy explaining that it is impossible to have small government at home and big government over seas. How we fund both sides of the war, dictators ect.

Well, IDK if it's too late, but this is something that I did at a small town hall here. And it did get a great deal of positive feedback.
He's a man who has changed politics globally in the last few years. The Republican party was given a wake up call when Ron's consistent views started to become popular. He predicted the housing bubble and bust. He sponsored a Bill that we know now, would have captured of Bin Laden 7 years before Obama. He was a lone voice in Washington, speaking out against the bought government and corporatism that is a direct link to our Federal Reserve system.
Ron Paul is not a trend follower, but a trend setter on every issue. You can see that in the debates, as other candidates move towards Dr. Paul's positions as they understand how his positions work. The main difference is Congressman Paul has the voting records and consistency to back up everything that he says. History has been on his side of the arguments, whether they be foreign, domestic, economic or with healthcare, which, may I add, has no better ally for the people, than a man who is a highly successful medical doctor, himself.
Dr. Paul is not a dictator, he is against the abuse of power by government. It is critical that I note this. He is not a dictator. The government should work for us. While politician, time in, and time out, have said similar things, I challenge anyone here to find a politician in the last 100 years, that has put the people before the state as consistently as Ron Paul has. This is a special moment for many of us. Much like the divided nation of South Africa, to gain one of the greatest uniters in history in a 76 year old Nelson Mandela, we have come to see such an amazing and coincidental situation at home, with our nation divided so deep, and the only candidate who has been able to have a great deal of success uniting both sides of the aisle, has been Ron Paul.
You may not like his supporters, you might not like a few of his ideas, but remember this man's biggest goal is to transfer power from the bureaucrats in Washington, back to you and your families. I hope some of you who are naysayers, like I once was, revisit Congressman Paul. Thank you
