Beck just spoke about yesterday's interview

He said that he received a lot of emails about her being a truther before the interview, that's why he asked her the question. He also wanted to ask her if she is a birther. I'd like to know the answer to that one too.

After hearing him this morning I don't think he is in cahoots with the Perry campaign, I think it was just that he asked a question that Medina totally fucked up. Even he said it was a softball question that she tried to dodge.

I still think the interview was totally unprofessional, but it was an easy question.

troll.

lays a hand grenade then runs like a little bitch.

gtfo

bullshit.

You could tell from his tone in the entire interview it was a hatchet job.

ABSOLUTELY.

He started out attacking her.

It was as if he were being paid.

I thought she did a great job, nevertheless. If I lived in TX, she'd have my vote.

Who the hell is this John Taylor guy? He's all over the forums, making 47 post per day that all make him sound like a moderate, naive GOPer.

Probably just a shill for Perry or Hutchinson.

Debra Medina sounded like an intelligent, honest, knowledgeable candidate during the Beck interview, and kept her cool while being badgered from the start.

Perry and Kay Bailey? Please. I was arguing for nullification of unconstitutional laws when you were nothing but a sparkle in your daddy's eye. I just joined this forum, that is true, but I've been a long time backer of Ron, and of any candidate who advocates a classical liberal platform, non-interventionism domestically and abroad, laissez faire, a restoration of our federal republic through strict construction of our constitution, and the limitation of governent within the States to the defense of life, liberty and property.

I'm still supporting Medina, and I will continue to send her donations, but that does not mean we should be blind to the truth, her interview on Beck was horrible, and she'd likely admit it. I don't think she's necessarily finished however, and I pray she will beat Kay Bailey and make the run-off, where her chances of beating Perry will increase dramatically.

Medina is not a politician. That's the weakness Beck exploited when she didn't directly answer on that question. She's a common-sense constitutionalist, and she missed the pitch, that's all.

Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue.

It's not a matter of naivete, it's a matter of being a realist, and understanding that some comments will hurt a candidate, even in Texas, and some will help him... Where have I ever stated anything urging anything close to "moderation" when it comes to the principles of a free society, free markets, free men, and free minds?

He IS being paid... and he's NOT a Medina supporter... never was.

He asked her a question that would have been a softball, had Medina been better prepared for the interview, and a better politician. That's not to say it's good to be a "good politician", just that a politican would never have been skinned by such a question.

So? She's not a typical politician...Score another for Debra Medina.

The interview also succeeded in making Glenn Beck look like the corporate whore that he really is.

Yes, I agree with you. We see it that way. Many people who were asleep during the Bush years have come alive (partially at least) through the tea party movement, and (regardless of their merits or lack of merit) radio and tv personalities... these self-same personalities reach a good number of the same Texas voters Debra needs to reach, so her struggle to make the run-off has become slightly more difficult...

An issue such as this can be demagogued so easily that it is best to avoid them althogether, that's all I meant by the "she's not a politician" argument... That's why Beck was able to trap her on that one...

She really messed up on the question. But she did clarify her statements on her website. I don't think it is that big of a deal, as someone who isn't a twoofer, I would still vote for her is she was one, but she isn't so whatever. I showed the interview to my roommate whom I convinced to support Medina instead of Perry and he thought Beck was being an asshole and didn't have a problem with her answer. I think the worst thing we can do is to continue talking about it, just let it go instead of harping on it. That is what Beck and Perry want. Quite frankly, I don't think anyone that won't vote for her because of that interview was ever going to vote for her in the first place. No one except for the neo cons on the Perry side and us in the liberty movement on Medina's side is really talking about this or cares about this. The average voter just wants a constitutionalist states rights conservative libertarian that will keep Austin and D.C out of their lives.

Beck needs to release all the pre-interview emails asking about the truther business that he claims to have recieved (redacted of the senders personal info). Otherwise it goes to demonstrate he's nothing more then a well-paid lying propagandist.

9-11 is not an issue of concern. It happened 9 years ago, the governor of Texas can do absolutely nothing about it in any case, and, there are much, much much bigger fish to fry.

Exactly! And that's why it was not a legitimate question for Beck to ask! Beck was simply being politically correct. Whether you realize it or not, political correctness is not limited to the left. Do you remember when Tim Russert asked Ron Paul about the civil war? That had nothing to do with running for president in 2008. And while I have never personally met anyone who didn't vote for Ron Paul because they thought he was a "truther" or were bothered that he was supported by "truthers", I did run into quite a few people that were turned off because they thought Ron Paul was "racist". Tim Russert was ambushing Ron Paul with a question to make him look "kooky" and/or racist just like Glenn Beck ambushed Medina with a question to make her look "kooky" and/or "un American". Whether you liked Medina's answer or not, whether you liked Ron Paul's answer or not, that didn't make either question legitimate.

Beck is now flat out calling Medina a "9-11 Truther".

After Debra Medina clearly said she didn't think the government was involved? Does anyone need any more proof that Beck is a liar and that this was a hatchet job?

Yes he was flat out saying that she believed that the government murdered 3000 of its own citizens, and then rejoiced in the fact that like Van Jones he ended her career.

Wow. He sure looks like an idiot now.

If handled right this could cause major blowback to Beck, he is up there beyond the shadow of a doubt slandering and flat out lying about a gubernatorial candidates positions AFTER she had issued a statement concisely denying the allegations.

I would like to know the origin of all the 9/11 truther emails he claims to have received. She was on another radio show after that where the host said he had also received many emails about her but none of them were about 9/11 truth.

1. Either Beck and his lacky Pat were lying about getting inundated with Medina being a "Truther" in an attempt to have "Medina" and the term "Truther" stick and discredit her.

or

2. The opposition sent them and wanted the same outcome.

Imagine if the source of those emails were traced back to the Perry or KBH camp??

Where are the hackers when you need them...operation TrutherGate is a go.
