My precinct #6703
Gingrich 5
Romney 2
Ron Paul 2
Santorum 0

We came down here pretty early, I closed my store down in the morning so that my girlfriend and I can caucus. My sister and 2 of her friends were at a different precinct. I was not planning whatsoever to become a delegate. First, nobody wanted to become a precinct captain, when they were asking for volunteers everyone turned their heads. Finally some people volunteered, and our precinct captain took us to the caucus location. Nobody has ever caucused before in my precinct so it was all over the place. There was a young girl behind us who I was sure is voting for Ron Paul, but she ended up casting a vote for Romney. When the precinct captain asked for anyone to give speeches, 2 Gingrich supporters raised their hand and gave short statements on why they are voting for Gingrich. It was so empty, one of the guys talked about how if Churchill was running he would for him, but since he is not he will vote for Gingrich. Wtf?

I had no speech prepared and I am horrible speaker. I raised my hand because I saw nobody stand up for Ron Paul. I gave a 30 second speech, don't judge me but here is what I said.

I am small business owner in our neighborhood. I have supported Ron Paul since last election. My main reason I support Ron Paul is that he walks the walk. He is the only Veteran in the race. He has never voted to increase our taxes, he has delivered over 4000 babies so we know he walks the walk on the life issue as he is the most pro life candidate in the race. Has never taken medicare and medicaid and has treated most of his patients free of charge. Finally, Ron Paul is determined to defend the borders of this country, not the borders between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Thank you.

Right after my speech the Gingrich supporters said that I made good points. Afterwards they asked who wanted to become a delegate, and again nobody responded and everyone turned their head. After looking around I almost felt disgusted, and I raised my hand. I was the only one to apply. Later 2 of the Gingrich supporters came up to me and said "we are very impressed at how you stood up for Ron Paul" "He was our second choice and he is always in our hearts because we do lean libertarian" "it's just that he can't beat Obama"

That is when I hit them with poll info on how Ron Paul and Romney are the only ones that come close to Obama, while Grinch loses by double digits. I also told them that Ron Paul beats Obama with Independents and undermines his base of supporters. They seemed very surprised. They took my business card, shook my hand and thanked me for participating. I did the same.

Thank you for standing up for Ron Paul.

If only you hadn't still, in 2012, had to do it alone.

BOOYAH! That is how it's done and it's so easy! No need to be disgusted that nobody else volunteered to be a delegate! That's actually fantastic, because Ron Paul is getting the most delegates through. Even in some of the precincts where Romney won by more than 50%, I am seeing Ron Paul get a majority of the delegates. GREAT WORK, MAN!!

Like everyone has been saying. The campaign needs to play up its electability in ads. It is going to be too late pretty soon.

Congratulations and THANK YOU for getting involved!!

But please consider the Establishment may be reading these forums... giving specifics and precinct number may be used to blacklist us. The reports are inspiring the troops, but consider keeping them vague for strategic reasons...

Well done! Think about how many time Dr. Paul had to be Dr. No as the lone voice of reason in the House. Principles and conviction.

There must be millions of anti-Romney voters that want to vote for Ron Paul but still have been convinced that he can't win. That is the only reason they vote Gingrich... they mistakenly think he is more electable.

Good job you sunuvabitch ya!!!

This should be a lesson to everyone.

The OP acknowledged that hes not a good speaker but that did not deter him!!!

Ron Paul supporters are the MOST educated voters, and may not even realize it!

The OP is a HERO. Hes a HERO!!! As Dr. Paul says, lead by example.

We absolutely must get the word out, Ron Paul does better vs Obama than Newt and Frothy.

We need every caucus speech to incorporate this fact.

How do we spread the word?
