I have no experience with the brand. I also used to own an old gravely, I sold it because I wanted something I could add electric start to. I now have a 48" belt drive 90's kholer/scag for mowing (paid $400) and a belt drive 32" 80's ariens/(new snow king briggs) commercial blower for snow removal (paid $350), I'm looking into an older walk behind toro bronco/horse for tilling, (budget $350).
My outlook on walk behinds is to look for the older privately owned commercial models on craigslist and pay less than $500. Be prepared for bearings, belts, filter, and oil change. Other than that the older commercial machines last forever and parts are readily available as standard shelf items.
What do you intend to use the bcs for?
