Barney Frank says 1207 will pass in October!

"Keep on his ass so he follows through!"

I would but he'd probably like it too much.

You can tell at least Barney Frank does know whats goin on and isn't just ignorant.

Good to hear it will be up in October.

You have to know there is a trick to this somehow.

As much as I dislike Barney Frank, he's been right on a few things including more transparency from the Federal Reserve and legalizing marijuana.

He's not guaranteeing action in the Senate, only the House. That's the only catch I can see. So that means we need to keep up pressure on the Senate in support of Sanders companion bill. More cosponsors are needed.

I'm not sure I could hear exactly, but did Frank refer specifically to 1207 passing in October or just some of the general regulations that he mentioned?

Barney Frank says 1207 will pass in October!

God, I hope so. This August recess and the health care distraction have made me almost completely forget about HR-1207 and S. 604 for nearly a month now. Time to get back on it!

Also, both my U.S. Senators and House Representative are co-sponsors now so I'm done with them.

I'd rather call it a Stimulus Bill than a Recovery Plan, because most people would rather be stimulated than recover.

- Barney Frank

They will water it down and then pass it with the approval of the Fed

Yes, he talks the talk. I wouldn't consider him a supporter of greater Fed transparency until I see him co-sponsor and pass HR1207 as it is, unaltered, and until he helps push the thing to the House floor.

Remember, everyone in government wants greater transparency, just not when they're in power.

seems unlikely:

House Financial Services Chairman Rep. Barney Frank, Massachusetts Democrat, said he expects former GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul's legislation to audit the Fed to pass out of his committee in October as part of a larger regulatory package.

Frank isn't clear in that response, he said they plan on including it in financial regulation package. if its included in a bill with consumer protection agency BS will Republicans and Ron Paul even be able to vote on it?

if it comes as a seperate bill which it should then fine but it looks like Frank is trying to load it up in a bill with a load of other junk and Ron wont be able to vote for it

isn't that interesting?...celente calls for dollar collapse about sept - oct. Larouche calls for dollar collapse about same time. Fed has been saying that disclosing secret info would have devastating effect on the economy and now Frank says that it will pass in October... haven't they been using peoples desires against them? most recent example is real estate bubble to collapse the system, by applealing an "american dream" of owning multiple homes and suvs to everyone?
I smell setup or maybe i am over analyzing?

From dailypaul:

On August 27th, 2009 sunny says:
i just called ron's dc office and spoke with paul martin after i saw the post: Barney Frank Agrees to Let HR 1207 out of Committee and to hold full House Debate on the bill

he has not heard anything about it but is going to call alan grayson's office and see what he can find out.

he said the latest info he had was that b frank had said that there would be a hearing in late september and that the bill would be added into the
