I favor decriminalization of the drug laws. I do not support someone abusing their body to get high. I am not pro-recreational narcotics. Not wanting the government to regulate an area is not the same as wanting people to make the most extreme and irrational decisions. Rather, I accept that edge cases ought not be the providence of our overlords.
More so, despite being a guy, I know the miscarriage rate is quiet high and although stillbirths are not as frequent, they are not uncommon. I don't think Uncle Sam ought to have a role prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Live Birth or other substantial evidence that the child was indeed a living, healthy child nor should woman or their doctors be subject to state second-guessing of very-difficult decisions or unfortunate negative outcomes.

what should be done with women who have abortions if the demonstrators got their way and abortion was illegal (again). Typical responses included: “I’ve never really thought about it;” “I don’t have an answer for that;” “I don’t know.” Quindlen concluded her column: “There are only two logical choices: hold women accountable for a criminal act by sending them to prison or refuse to criminalize the act in the first place. If you can’t countenance the first, you have to accept the second. You can’t have it both ways.”

There seems to be little or no appetite to punish woman by these pro lifers. Rather, they want the men in the the violent, disease-filled rape dungeons.
For all the tough talk I heard about holding pregnant persons accountable, the pro-life moment appears to be filled with pansies that will do no such thing.
The pro-life crowd doesn't want abortion to be "safe, legal, and rare" but "unsafe, illegal, and rarely prosecuted".
