Bank of America DOES NOT accept U.S. DOLLARS on mortgages payment?

bank of america is probably one of the worst possible banks anyone could be using. i recently got my wife switched over to navy federal, she'll be closing her BoA account very soon. they are such a big group of money hungry pieces of crap.

The comments say that BOA does indeed accept cash for mortgages, and that while there's no way to tell what really happened in the video, it's possible the person was trying to pay less than the full amount owed, in which case the branches can't accept it.

I believe that is correct , say your payment is $800 , you mail a check for $700 , places like GMAC , BOA , I believe will not accept that , nobody said they were smart .

Smart enough to know that accepting less than the agreed upon amount can cost them the right to collect the full amount.

Yea , but I bet they are sitting on thousands of empty houses right now that will not sell .

Actually, has anyone looked at the most updated payment policy of BoA? Just to verify accuracy of cash payments method of paying debt....

Secondly, why would the videographer paying cash pay short as being insinuated? There is still the option of making up the balance or do part payment in cash and debit electronically or arrangement with the bank manager. And he still would get a carry over to next balance with interest set against it or fine in having outstanding debt if that's the case?

Thirdly if the sole reason of not accepting cash is about short of full required payment then there is not a mention regarding that....
ie: "Sir we can not accept your cash because you are not giving the bank the full payment required for us staff to accept your payment regardless if its cash, cheque or electronic or other agreed payment"..... The bank staff or the event didn't emphasis on explaining why not accepting his payment but saying will accept electronic banking...

All they said was please stop filming. Where are you getting this from?

It looks like this guy is running into a bank with a videocamera expecting something bad to happen.

Something bad will obviously probably happen.

Curious about the parts which are not shown. What was the reason they gave for not accepting his payment? We only get to see him being asked to not film in the bank and to leave because of that. We don't know what really happened.

I agree that it seemed that he entered the bank seeking a confrontation.

If he plays his cards right, he just got his house for free. A refusal of payment in full is to declare the debt to be nullified. Of course, neither the Banks or the Courts will go for that. Zippy, wanna clarify?

I use to have a mortgage but Wells Fargo set me free. They had me jumping through hoops to save my house all the while they had already started foreclosure and when I made a payment they sent it back the same day the sheriff showed up. I bought a house for half of what I was approved for and haven't had a credit card in 25 years. I sacrificed my body to build homes for people that couldn't afford them and ended up losing mine. Now I have no home no car no phone and couldn't be happier, thanks wells fargo!
