Ok. I just pledged for some bomb last night. Are there two bombs coming up?

There is the No One but Paul Moneybomb on the 14th of February that is 100% grassroots run.

Bailout Freedom moneybomb (also to be held on February 14th) is a grassroots generated theme. It will have a pledge site soon and be grassroots promoted but at some point in the next few weeks Ron Paul's campaign will start promoting Bailout Freedom as well.

I didn't love Mega either even though I added it to the Facebook group name but I'm thinking of changing it back since it annoys me when I see it.

I hope the campaign gives us a couple more tickers this time around:

A.) Number of unique donors

B.) Really, Really, Really push hard the small donations add up theme e.g.

This email is being sent out to 400,000 supporters. We expect 200,000 to open this message. We need each of you to donate just $25. That's it. Not a dollar more. $25 each and we will raise $5,000,000 - enough to break through the media bias and deliver our message directly to the people.

C.) Have a really clever ticker that fills up Super Tuesday states, talks about pieces of mail the campaign wants to send, how much they are each, how many are funded / left to fund - how many tv ads + funded / left to fund, radio ads etc... Back in 2007 we would get radio tower icons, statue of liberty icons etc....

Looks like some members of RPF don't think Romney, Santorum and Gingrich are enough competition and they want to sling mud at us.

If the campaign had told me they wanted to switch to February 14th and asked whether I would prefer No One but Paul or Bailout Freedom I would have chosen No One but Paul. It is a much better Valentine's Day theme. Unfortunately they didn't ask me and they have stated that they will be promoting Bailout Freedom on February 14th. I tried to get the ball rolling on something real instead of just speculating 2 weeks ago and really resent how people are trying to sabotage this effort now that the campaign has taken it up as well. First people complain that the campaign has co-opted the moneybombs and then when the campaign selects a grassroots generated theme, in their pride a bunch of folks decide to do something else anyways.

So.. is the official campaign gonna promote this and send out a SHORT request for moneybomb pledges from their friends list?

Their long emails and 'day of' requests don't help much. Can their facebook team mail each and ask for a pledge?

I think they will send something out. Not sure when hopefully they'll provide a little advanced notice to their mailing list.

The grassroots BailoutFreedom.com site and a promotional Tube should both go live February 1st.

I have a facebook group started and a twitter so once we have the site and the vid I'll go into serious promotion mode.

The only graphics I've seen for this don't say the date. If someone made one that said MONEYBOMB and the date large enough to show up in a twitter avatar I'd use it, and I usually sign in on comments with my twitter account.
