GOP candidate quits after cop catches him masturbating outside preschool

Ok, so the real story is that he was parked in an area where, yes, there was a preschool "nearby" (which he was allegedly unaware of) and a cop walked by his truck and thought it looked suspicious so he came up behind him and caught him.

But he wasn't staring at kids or even people walking or riding by in the nearby park. He was staring intently at his phone - most likely looking at consensual adult activities. I don't know for sure, but that's my working theory and I'm sticking to it. If that is the case, he definitely needs to bring it up in his defense because there are laws about this kind of stuff in the vicinity of a school. Not sure if it would help. He was in a truck, so while the officer said people could see if the walked by, they would have to get really close to see the seat of the truck. Try it next time you're in a parking lot.

Obviously really dumb. If you're a GOP candidate, please be more careful. These are not the kind of headlines we need coming into this important election.

He’s an idiot, no doubt. The headline is a bit biased. Is the minor office he is running for even partisan? Many low level races like that are non-partisan, where candidates don't even declare a party.

Interesting how some arrests and crimes come with so many intimate details that end up in the news, and others don’t have any details at all.

Could be he has a wife and kids at home and not a lot of privacy or time to engage in that, and his wife isn't putting out enough.

Or maybe he is single and just a really busy guy and kept putting it off.
