"Republican Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner will introduce an anti-NSA bill tomorrow in the House, and if it makes its winding way to becoming law, it will be a big step towards curtailing the NSA's bulk metadata collection. Wisconsin Rep. Sensenbrenner, along with 60 co-sponsors, aims to amend one section of the Patriot Act, Section 215, in a bill known as the United and Strengthening America by Fulfilling Rights and Ending Eavesdropping, Dragnet Collection, and Online Monitoring Act — also known by its less-clunky acronym version, the USA Freedom Act."

These bill names/acronyms are absolutely ridiculous! "USA Freedom" act is so darn corny.

They often come up with the acronyms first, then change the name of the bill to fit:

Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001

When Tyranny comes to our shores, it will be wrapped in a Flag carrying a Bible. Hell just look at the name "Patriot Act". Its about as Unpatriotic as you can get.

All those clowns that voted against the Amash-Conyers 'Defund the NSA Bill' are really looking like asses even more now.

This is the time to stick it to them with another bill... I wonder if those spineless bastards Boehner, McCaul, and Cantor would even allow it to even come to the floor.

Amash supports it, so I think it's probably a good bill.

I have not seen it. And I would support such in theory,, but I also know that these "proposals" can be misleading. (sometimes the very opposite of what they claim)

Personally,, NSA is another agency we can do without in entirety. But that won't sell to the MIC.
