I'm in Greenville, SC listening to Gallagher. Hes got DeMint on and DeMint keeps talking about Paul. He hasn't even mentioned anyone else. keeps saying to pick the real conservative. theirs a choice between the big Government "conservative" and a real conservative and South Carolina voters need to make the right choice. IMO its a great interview for not endorsing Paul. real positives for Paul in their.

ZanZibar keeps telling us to watch DeMint on Freedom Watch whenever someone mentions his endorsement. "Who knows what might happen". Need to double check when he's going to be on.

I was listening to the show as well. I don't think DeMint is going to endorse, but it is obvious he is very favorable toward Ron Paul. Goat, what part of Greenville are you in? I'm over in Simpsonville.

A DeMint endorsement would be huge and a game changer in SC. We already have some momentum, but that would push us over the top.

Club for growth called Ron's budget plan 'spectacular' and said that unlike others who had a few good points, Ron's record indicates he means it.

rand should get on the phone and politely make sure he understands that he has a chance to help change the course of history. if he believes in what he says he believes in, it should be a no-brainer.

Indeed. I'm sure Rand has been trying, though. He has worked with DeMint extensively.

DeMint wants to REPERSENT us. not coerce us. thats a good thing. remember that. even though I have disowned him over NDAA.

I have no inside info, but I am sure the campaign is reaching out to DeMint today. They would be foolish if they did not.

There's an interesting political dynamic to all of this. A prominent Republican who endorses Paul will probably be disliked, at least temporarily, by the party.... but he stands to gain a ridiculously large, active, and donation-prone, following for doing so - especially if he can paint himself as a Rebel or Maverick for doing so. From a strictly political, completely unprincipled standpoint, it is an intriguing thing to consider.

He isn't running for reelection. He has nothing to lose.

Don't hold the NDAA vote against Demint. When it came back before the debate the second time he and I think 11 republicans voted against it. It was the lobbying from Amash in the house and Paul
in the senate that helped them realize that the detention stuff was in there. Demint is an ally.

Glad to hear DeMint talking up Paul locally. IMO, he's been walking a fine line with respect to the tea party and Ron Paul for some time now. I think he doesn't want to burn bridges withing the GOP establishment for whatever reason, but he does value Ron Paul's positions.

Well, if history and movies have taught me anything, it's that everyone has something to lose. Except turrists.

But my point wasn't limited to DeMint. If Paul gains traction, a lot of politicians will no doubt begin to weigh the benefits of jumping on the bandwagon.

The campaign isn't well know for seeking endorsements.

PPP in their polling showed that whole a Haley endorsement didn't sway many, a Demint endorsement was worth 19 points. I think it was in the cross tabs from a poll last week. Demint is going to wait before he endorses. See what happens in a debate or 2 first. An endorsement would be enormous.
