Why was he banned?

I don't watch every single thread, but I don't recall seeing anything that would warrant a ban. I guess I find it odd, since my home on the interwebs is known for being the bastion of non-bannery. Only thing on that board that will get you kicked out is kid porn or scat. Other than that, all is fair. I like it that way.

Yes, well I'm glad rpfs is not 4chan. Its purpose is completely different, if you want to post pony porn and do things with sharpies then thats the place for you, not rpfs.

I thought that was 'cuz teh collinz has a "special relationship" with RPFs (somewhat like the regime's relationship with the Israeli regime).
 
Forum bans suck. People should just make judicious uses of ignore lists and be done with it. And ignore lists should be more flexible. I should be able to put someone on ignore on a thread/forum basis. For example person X might rock when it comes to 2nd amendment issues but be a total douche when it comes to foreign policy. (I came up with a contrived example so that nobody might think "Hey he's talking about me!") Or you might be spinning your wheels talking to someone in a particular thread, tired of his comments in that thread, yet not be through with them altogether. I'm not saying this as a knock on RPF. I'm just saying there's room for improvement.

Agree - i prefer too much free speech to too little - and yes I have and still do run boards myself.

Female mod and pussy-whipped mod found a comment that suggested that men like sex, and sex is expected from women in relationships, along with some jokes, and banned him, because someone saw it as "advocating rape".

Then the new sockpuppet rule came into existence (announced by the same mod) and the hunt began! Funny how I could spot the multiple Eduardo alts from a mile away and it took mods a couple of weeks.

Though he was especially tacky in that thread, I agree that it wasn't ban-worthy. I don't even know of a forum rule he broke there.

Cute. I didn't ban him. Not the first time, nor the second time. And for the record, I knew it was him from his first post.

But really, do keep on spreading lies. It's no secret you have a hatred for me, even though I hardly ban (most of my bans are fire11) and very rarely even give warnings/infracts. It's fine.

Here's the truth though: Multiple IPs matched, mutiple troll threads were started (which I am sure not even members realized were by him), and he was harassing certain members through reputation (continuous namecalling), which only mods/admins can see. Admin made the decision that that was unacceptable.
